Hi Can anyone recommend an Ames taper/plasterer who is available asap. I have to go back to canada on 20th preparing the house for sale and just finishing some internal work. Hoping to get painting next week.

I`ve always wondered - what exactly does an Ames taper do?

He got back today Buffy. Thanks. Seeing him tomorrow.
An ames taper finishes off the gyproc or drywall when you construct rooms and corridors.
It needs someone skilled to marry the bits together seamlessly.
Maybe do some skimming too before the paint goes on.

It`s a true skill. I`ve got a join in the living room that is problematic with a hairline crack. Tried filling, scraping out and filling, using tape and filling...from what I understand from YouTube, it likely needs some extra screws put in first. Tapers and plasterers make it look simple.
