Letter dropped through door this morning for me and my Mrs.
Scanned QR code and logged on, despite trying various locations, the calendar is blank!
Any of my fellow oldies got the secret key?🤔

An answer online:-
In order to prioritise the vaccination of those at highest risk, we have had to temporarily pause the booking of appointments on the online portal whilst appointments are allocated to those in the highest risk categories. In the coming days, the portal will reopen for appointments in Fife and those who have received letters are urged still to arrange vaccination to help protect themselves and those around them against the effects of flu and COVID-19.

Where have you been?

for anyone interested... I`m old enough now to get the flu jag and had it booked for this Wednesday after work...
however, I`m now having to go into the office (Edinburgh), so tried to reschedule as won`t have enough time to get home from work and then to vaccine centre near me.
the next available slot (looked at all the ones within 20mins drive) was mid Nov, however, did a search near my work (central Edinburgh) and got one for this Wed in the Waverley market (had the pick of times)
so if anyone desperate and can`t get booked for ages in fife, might be worth a wee trip to Edinburgh as there seems to be plenty spaces there

Got my flu jab a few days ago at Lynbank ... 16:40 if memory serves ... I was the only one there along with maybe 12 staff?
I was in the building for maybe 3 minutes?

Same here we were in yesterday at 11o`clock and only one person before us sitting waiting after vaccination and one came in when we were sitting waiting after. Staff far outnumbered patients so no idea why people can`t get appointments. NHS fife need to have a look at their administration.

We’ve just gone through the misery of COVID - three weeks before our next round of (fifth) vaccinations.
Recently heard that a newer generation of the jag is imminent and folks being advised to hold off.
Mrs. VEE is due her double jags tomorrow - so watch this space.

I think the 99% survival rate helps too....🤷♂️

I doubt there is anything you`d ever do if it only had a 99% survival rate. Fortunately the vaccine increases survival rates even further.

Take it those questioning the COVID vaccine and are of a certain age/group don`t get their flu vaccine either?
Vaccines don`t stop you getting a disease, they give your body the ability to fight it.

How is the survival rate calculated ?
We’ve both had Covid this month, as has a friend - none of this has been formally reported.
Which I suspect is what happens with the vast majority who contract Covid.

Our wee family are just coming out of a bout of covid.
My girlfriends mum got it first, spent a night at the Vic with low oxygen levels and is still struggling 2 weeks later with fatigue and weakness.
My girlfriend who lives with me and also has an immune difficiency got it and was really tired with bad headaches but has just about recovered.
I managed to avoid it. As did my son who stays with us.
My dad is in his 70s and his immune system is shot to bits. He was in hospital for 4 days in January with a bad chest infection. I'll do anything to try and ensure he doesn't get covid or flu or anything from us. Luckily it looks like he got away with it this time.
We`ve all had vaccines. I`d like to think they work and have helped to prevent much worse for us and others.
