I`m confused .. Yes Again !!
Looking for a mini for my Granddaughter .. there are plenty out there especially diesel
I sent an attachement to my son in law of a nice 2014 mini D and he text back and said its not Ulez compliant
I used the Ulez check and it said it is compliant
Ah says the son in law .. you need the Ulez Scotland check
Sure enough it is NOT compliant on the Scots one
Are we more strict on emissions than England ??

Anything newer than 2017 will be fine.
Scotland is actually a wee bit more relaxed than London or France etc. We want euro 5 where they want euro 6 compliant engines
There’s lots of online websites you can check

I`d also watch about getting a Mini. Some models were notorious for falling to bits. Can`t remember what it was or which models but definitely worth googling the model and checking car trader forums.

Basically, there`s the "UK" ULEZ (cities in England except London), the London ULEZ and the Scotland ULEZ
I`ve no idea what the specific differences are but I`d try for the most rigorous set as they`ll all get stricter over time anyway. Remember that it`s likely only the city centres in Scotland that will be covered.

Yeah there`s a certain model/year of mini that was terrible but off hand can`t remember. Also the minis with turbos throw their hand in at about 100k miles and it`s a very expensive repair.

I don’t think that’s right in terms of England vs Scotland…
I think it’s the other way round as I’m sure London has stricter policy on emissions than Scotland
Tell a lie, looks like it’s the same
Euro 4 for petrol cars and vans (generally vehicles registered from 2006)
Euro 6 for diesel cars and vans (generally vehicles registered from September 2015)
Euro VI for buses, coaches and HGVs (generally vehicles registered from January 2013).

Your best bet is to stay away from a diesel car or stop being a tichterse and buy her a new one 😉
