Anyone been, preferably to the national stadium? Looking for any advice/recommendations for places to stay, that are relatively nearby. Or somewhere that has decent travel links to and from it.
Many thanks 👍

Not many buildings of old historical interest..churches, castle, cathedrals, palaces theatres, museums, and so on, most public buildings, the Nazis flattened about 90% of the city. Arts and cultural treasures looted.
This was in retaliation for the Polish resistance uprising in 1944.
The city was doomed anyway, if the Nazis had won the war they were going to level and rebuild it as part of the Germanisation of Central Europe.

Not sure how into the Craft Beers you are Big T, but would highly recommend Jabeerwocky in Warsaw if you are! Brewski round the corner has a bigger selection too but personally I liked the former a bit better!
Also I stayed in the Chopin apartments when I was there - cheap and clean and not far from the central station.

We stayed at the Residence Hotel St Andrews. Incredibly central, a short walk felm bars, cafes etc and decent links around the city if you need them.
Spacious rooms and we got them fairly cheap.
Ep.17 of East End Tales is out now with Andrius Skerla
