Girl X and Boy Y both found guilty of her vicious murder both 16 now
The judge said they will get a life sentence .. but he will decide how long after he reads more background information
I hope life is life for this evil pair who tried to blame each other and showed no remorse
May they both rot in Hell

In these situations I just wonder "why?". I`ve not followed the case but it sounds like she was targeted for being trans. Coming out in that way as a young person must need a lot of bravery. Did that bravery wind this pair up? How wound up do you need to be to murder someone? Even if intended just to scare them, why are young people (or anyone) going about with knives?
One child dead, two who have effectively thrown their lives away.

Good post jake .. you really need to read up on the case to answer your own questions .. but from what I have read and seen the correspondence these are not two normal children

Nothing normal about the entire case. A young boy who wants to be a girl, murdered by Girl X, who had traits of autism and ADHD, and boy Y, had been diagnosed with selective mutism and autism spectrum disorder. Tragic.
I do fear for the mental health of the next generation.

Not legally. The Death Certificate (as well as the birth certificate) said Male.

Fully appreciate what her legal documentation may say, but changing your gender is a long process. It takes years to get agreement and puts trans people through a lot of stress with it commonly being implied a trans person is simply in need of mental health support.
She identified as a girl. She lived her life as a girl. Her parents considered her their daughter.

What worries me is the fact that RSP has access to Brianna`s killers mental health records .. Also access to her birth and death certificates .. perhaps if the jury were privy to this information X and Y could be free to murder again

These facts about the killers were disclosed during the trial.
The victim also struggled with mental health conditions including anxiety and an eating disorder.

Unless we can point to how the victims health was a reason for them being targeted I really don’t see the relevance to it

RSP is correct that this was all listed in the story I read.
What was also made quite clear is that she was targeted for being trans, not because she suffered from anxiety and an eating disorder. I`ll leave people to read the details themselves as the language used to describe her isn`t appropriate for this forum, but it was very clear that their interest in her was fuelled by her being a trans girl.

A judgement has already been made by professionals who have far more expertise and facts before them than any of us.
A senseless tragedy made all the worse because it was premeditated. These teenagers took a young life and ruined their own.
Not your average Sunday League player.
