 Mad dogs and Englishmen…

The chaps are always welcome to move up here, the more Yoons the better.
But the migration of XL Bully dogs now they are getting banned down
south not so much…
There are a couple of ferocious chihuahuas along the road from me who furiously hurl themselves against their window when I pass by ( well I do poke my tongue out at them)
They fear other dogs not either, but one of those beasts could swallow them whole…

It`s fine because all the high tax payers are going to move to Carlisle (where they`ll pay higher council tax, water rates, property costs, prescriptions etc.) so in return Scotland can get the XL bully owners.

St least with an aggressive small dog you can properly boot it. An American bully... Not so much. Kind of beast only the dregs of society buy

Make all dogs an extension of their owner. Whatever a dog does it is as if it was done by the owner themselves. So if a great big devil dog kills someone then the owner is going to be treated by the courts as if they had committed the killing themselves. Obviously something like a Jack Russell is only going give someone a bad bite so that would only maybe be an assault charge for the owner. It would certainly focus the minds of owners about what dog they own and how they train them.

And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

Jack Russells do and have killed children. All dogs not properly looked after are dangerous regardless of breed. Bigger, more aggressive dogs are just more dangerous

Although some dogs are more aggressive than others, it usually comes down to how they`ve been trained.

Our dog is pretty well trained but is always on the lead if we see other dogs around just in case. Last week he was out on lead when an aggressive lab came bounding towards him. The owner was apologetic but claimed it`s normally quiet where we were (it isn`t) and accepted his dog was reactive, not socialised with other dogs and had no recall. Honestly couldn`t make it up. This was out in the fields where there are lots of deer, which is why mine was on his lead!

Similarly, we don`t leave our dog on his own with the kids. He`s a softy but that`s usually what people say when a dog attacks.
