Facing redundancy again so need a solicitor to check my paperwork, redundancy package etc. Would rather use someone local as i would prefer dealing with them face to face if required.
Any suggestions???

Can`t you check it yourself? There is a legal minimum you are entitled to and any more than that is up to the companies discretion. Of course the contract you signed when you started employment may have stated you will be given more but that will be black and white no?
And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

Are they paying for the legal fees?
Is worth checking if Acas can recommend someone?
And sorry to hear about the redundancy.

Can recommend Ed Christie at Ross & Connell. I`ve just used him for exactly the same thing.
Good guy and a Dundee fan too.

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately i have no choice but to get it checked as it`s part of the deal. Good news is that my employer will cover the cost up to £300 which I`m hoping will be enough.

Most solicitors in fife charge around £200 or £300 an hour these days

Could Citizens Advice or Legal Aid help in the first instance?
Sorry to hear about your redundancy. Crap time of year but onwards and upwards! You`ll find somewhere new in no time.

My employer covered upto £350 and this was the exact amount I was charged. 😊

Worth checking your home insurance as a mate was surprised to find employment law cover in his policy a few years ago when he needed it.
