 HP Instant Ink Scheme

My credit card was compromised and I just got a new one. I tried to change billing details with HP but it kept directing me to my online banking, asking me to approve a payment of £1 to HP.

Anyone else experienced this? Do HP actually charge you £1 to change your payment method?

I ‘think’ it’s a ping to make sure the payment works, long time since I did it so can’t remember if it added to my account balance but I’m sure it wasn’t a fee. Think mine is something like £1.49 a month anyway so can’t say I pay a lot of notice

Thanks. Mine is £1.49 a month too. I guess it`s just a way of checking that the person making the change is entitled to do so.
