Apologies for the blatantly promotional post – this year’s Dunfermline Children’s Gala will take place in a couple of weeks, on Saturday 28th June. We’re hoping for another fantastic day, with all 16 of the local schools in a parade, alongside DAFC, bands and entertainers. The parade goes from East Port, along the High Street and into the Glen, for a great (and hopefully sunny!) afternoon of fun and entertainment.
The Gala is run entirely by volunteers and costs an absolute fortune to stage each year. The majority of the funds come from donations and sponsorship: to that end, we’re running an online raffle with some fantastic prizes (including a 43” Fire TV from Amazon). Tickets are only £1 and can be bought at https://dunfermlinegala.com/raffle. The winners will be drawn by our patron, Jim Leishman, on Gala day.
Please come along if you can, cheer on the kids and enjoy a great day in the Glen.
