If you were looking for places to live with good public transport links (no driving), where would you be looking for
1. Daily commuting access to Edinburgh and Glasgow
2. In Dunfermline to have access to Edinburgh.

1. Livingston or Dunfermline.
2. Like what area of Dunfermline? I would say either up St Margaret’s Fauld or in the Woodmill area for easy access to the train stations

Am I right in thinking you can get the bus to Glasgow or Edinburgh from Halbeath Road? 🤔 definitely get a Glasgow bus, less sure of Edinburgh

Aye ye can get the bus direct to Glasgow from opposite EEP - X27.
Unfortunately there is no longer a direct bus to Edinburgh. The X52 was halted just a couple of weeks ago with Stagecoach stating it was underused. It went through Duloch. It was a handy alternative for me - instead of getting the train - in heavy rain. The X55 leaves the bus station or a 19 to Halbeath P&R for a direct Edinburgh bus coming from the north.

1. Falkirk. Livingston`s stations are both in crap locations and the trains are incredibly slow.
2. City Centre, Garvock, Whitefield road way.
The cancellation of the X52 has been a shocker. Stagecoach never promoted the service and even made it hard to find on their app (the app doesn`t consider Duloch to be in Dunfermline). I complained a few weeks ago to Stagecoach as the £7 return was supposed to be accepted on the 5 but the app and website don`t give this option and instead push you to buy a more expensive day rider. I`ve gone back to the train. I`d genuinely love to see someone come in a tear Stagecoach a new one.
