I wonder if Toronto can overcome Los Angeles - the Canadians would love that for Trump !!!
They`re up against superstar Shohei Ohtani who just deflated Milwaukee in the play off decider with a stellar career performance that has but him amongst the all time legends.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dXAAlfuK-Es
A record 469 foot blast out of the stadium, in between two other homers.....and he`s a starting pitcher !!!

32 years in the making - Let`s go Blue Jays.
Dodgers might have a superstar, but Vladdy, Springer, Lukes, Varsho & Kirk etc al have been absolutely superb all season, especially going 0 2 and 2 3 down in the ALCS.
Not to mention the young rookie pitcher Yesavage who destroyed the Yankees in Game 2 of the ALDS & put up 2 decent showings in the Championship round.
Home advantage - win 4 more games and we`re Champions.
LET`S GO BLUE JAYS βΎοΈππ¨π¦πππΌ

Was epic - trying to celebrate quietly at 3am was a challenge haha!!
Yesavage didn`t do anything spectacular but it wasn`t disastrous either, conceding only 2 runs & he struck out Ohtani first up, for example! He did a decent job all round considering where he`s come from.
What I love about this team is that everyone is looking at Vladdy, Bichette & Springer to get the runs but every one of them swings the bat well - it IS a real team effort!
Barger last night - superb but then you have guys like Clement, Varsho & Kirk contributing.
End the series now haha but also - keep going Jays!
Sooo worth staying up til 5am for!
Over to Kevin Gausman for game 2 πππΌβΎοΈπ€πΌ

Dodgers win game two 5 1 and the series is tied π
Pitchers duel with Gausman retiring 17 batters in a row but then giving up 2 HR in the 7th, while the (unfortunately) superb Yamamoto pitched a complete game & stopped the Jays bats swinging in the 3rd π
Got to win at least once now in LA to bring it back to SkyDome. Or win all 3 to be Champs π€π€£
Can`t watch the next 3 live with them being midweek, so hoping thats not my last game of the season.
We were 0 2 at this point v Seattle, so it`s not done yet π€πΌ
Over to Mad Max Scherzer for game 3.
Let`s go Blue Jays π¨π¦βΎοΈππΌ

Feel sorry for Gausman - any other night he`d have won as he didnt do much wrong.
Not over yet tho, especially if we can win game 3 or 4 πππΌβΎοΈπ€πΌ

I see the Canadians have wound up Trump, as I alluded to, with a TV ad of Ronald Reagan criticising tariffs from his days as POTUS - needless to say DT was not amused and reacted like the bully he is.
Wouldnβt be surprised if the WS flag incident of the 1990βs isnβt resurrected π

Got up this morning to find them still playing!!
Watched a couple of innings then had to leave for work. Literally minutes later, Freeman smacked a walk off HR in the bottom of the 18th!!
Dodgers win 6 5 and take a 2 1 series lead π
Just hope that hasn`t messed up the bullpen for the next 2 π€π

Great to win that one as 1 3 would have been very difficult.

1 win needed from 2 home games - pretty sure we`ll face Yamamoto again so it`ll be interesting to see how we do second time against him.

Two homers first inning on 3 pitches - thatβs a statement of intent.
Almost as bad as Pars defence in Dingwall π
Just managed to see extended highlights - some outstanding individual plays in all areas - the diving save for example.

Dodgers win 3 1 and we`re tied again for a winner takes all 7th game.
Frustrating tonight. Another solid game from Gausman but let in 3 in the 3rd. Double the hits but couldn`t get the guys home π
Yamamoto again - some pitcher but out in the 6th so we had a chance, but Jays luck was out - ball lodged in the wall (never seen THAT before) so instead of scoring, it was a ground rule double & then we had a stupid play by Barger to be out at second to finish the game πͺ
Some stupid plays - Kirk swung on a pitch that nearly hit him & that ending. Probably too eager from our batters to get runs.
Onto an even more nervous game 7 and my prediction of Jays in 6 is off.
Dunno if I can take an 18 inning 7th game lol but will take 1 run more than them and at least we`re not facing Yamamoto again.
1 home game left + 1 win needed!
LETS EFFIN GO BLUE JAYS - pleeeeeeease π€πΌπ€πΌπ€πΌ

Incredibly tense but a superb 3 run homer from Bo Bichette settling the nerves a bit.
Benches cleared as Gimenez gets hit after the 2 previous pitches could also have hit him! Shocker from LA.
Bottom 5th 3 1 Jays - 12 LA outs to go ......

Fck me, what a game. Can`t believe that the Jay`s didn`t win that. Two outs in the 9th and then bases loaded. Thought they had won it, when the boy got home, but the catcher got his foot down π©

Still utterly heartbroken with that ending. Deserved to win either game, but the baseball gods conspired against us in the 9th innings of both games 6 & 7.
To be sooo close - 2 outs / 4 strikes & millimetres from getting the winning run in, not once but twice - was sooo hoping the fielders were going to collide ππ
Hell of a lot to be happy about as a Jays fan tho - an incredible season overall ππΌππΌ
June / July was unreal - setting a new unbeaten home run of 11 games.
We weren`t meant to beat the Yankees to the AL East title but we did. Then we weren`t meant to beat them in the Divisional Series.
We weren`t meant to beat Seattle to become AL champions, and we definitely were not supposed to win 2 games in LA.
Bo and George playing injured and the emergence of Trey Yesavage.
Vladdy, George, Daulton, Ernie et al smacking balls all over the parks against some of the best pitchers in the game, not to mention superb defence all over the field too.
Fell literally millimetres short & thats the heartbreaking aspect of it.
As I said last night - I really hope it doesn`t take another 32 years to have another go, as, ending aside, that postseason was heaps of fun.
Let`s go Blue Jays 2026 π€πΌβΎοΈπ¨π¦ππΌ
