BBC Breakfast had a feature about racial abuse of NHS staff this morning. It is leading to absences from work due to mental health problems such as increased anxiety. The NHS representative - I didn`t catch his name or role - stressed that many of these people from minority ethnic backgrounds are British born and proud to work in our NHS. What goes on in the minds of these Neanderthals, that makes them think it`s OK to abuse those people who are trying to care for them?
Of course, white NHS staff also suffer verbal and sometimes physical abuse, but that doesn`t make it right. The incidence of abuse directed at Black and Asian staff is significantly higher. For all that Britain leads and has led the world in some fields, there`s a creeping xenophobia which is very disturbing.
Not your average Sunday League player.

It`s shocking but not surprising. Even an innocent story like "Housing development approved" winds up with comments like "probably for boat people".
I`d hope that the comments are mainly from patients who are perhaps not in their right mind at the time as my experience of NHS Fife care has been great regardless of where the health professional was born or the colour of their skin. They all work bloody hard!

Most of the problems I have witnessed in hospital have been alcohol and substance related.
Generally the abusers are scum of the earth. There are plenty of patients who are suffering the same problems but act courteously and respect the staff for the care they are given.

A young child died in Inverkeithing just yesterday and the third comment on the post was someone spouting off vaccine conspiracy theories……it shows the state of the world we live in these days 🤷🏻♂️

Also on "jammers" Sunday creaming their pants that streets were shut and crawling withe police in various towns in Fife!
Had to be reminded it was due to remembrance parades!
Is this the current standards in our country?🤔😡

Other one has been about the poor fellow that died on Halloween last year on the Cowgate. After the investigation was closed with no further action, it is now a supposed cover up!

They also spread the story that an immigrant from Premier Inn had touched up a child in Duloch.
1. There were no immigrants housed in Premier Inn.
2. The man was local.
3. He had HELPED the girl up when she fell in the park.
The father apologised for the confusion but the damage was already done with the Jammers hate mob who were ready to burn down Premier Inn.
It used to be a good group for letting people know about accidents and where the speed vans were but for well over a year now it`s just been scheme gossip and right wing crap. Whoever runs it is hopefully on a police database as he doesn`t seem right.
