I watched a few minutes of Strictly and had to ask my wife who people were. When she`s replying things like "Oh, he`s a Youtuber" I`m switching off. I`m a big user of YouTube but it`s scraping the barrel describing them as a "star". It used to be that even the weaker celebrities would be people you`d at least recognise.

Although to counter my own argument, I’m probably not a good gauge
When celebrity traitors was on, my daughter who’s at uni (and I’m assuming means many like her) stopped watching as soon as the first guy was voted out, and she didn’t recognise half of the ones I knew
So I suppose the telly isn’t being made bespoke for me and my tastes, but to the wider uk audience

Celebrity Traitors is the only thing in the last 5/6 to be full of actual “celebrities” and not filled with reality tv stars etc.
Probably what made it such a good watch.

With the numbers they get compared to the BBC as a whole, they actually deserve to be wealthy.
