Elon Musk is an absolute idiot ~ after taking the decision to clamp down on users of Grok AI who use it to “undress” and create naked images of women online by putting it behind a subscription wall only.
He knows he could have done more to prevent these images from being used and created but chose not to.

"Idiot" isn`t the word I`d use to describe Musk, Buffy. It`s beyond comprehension. All the perverts of the day will now be getting themselves into some kind of sexual frenzy, that could lead to real girls and women being attacked as a result.
It`s hard not to despair at the direction the modern world is heading in. Not progress as we know it.... 😒
Not your average Sunday League player.

I used ChatGPT for the first time today and the simple things you could create with a little bit of typing was terrifying. And it was free.
So heaven forbid what folk with a sordid mind will start creating if they can pay for it. No need for Onlyfans if you can create your own.

TBF, chatGPT is set to reject you from requesting it do dodgy things to people, particularly children. Grok on the underhand is set up so someone can add a photo of someone of any age and write something like "make them topless". It says a lot about Musk that he`s not seeking to prevent this sort of usage. I suppose he has links with Trump.

A photo of Musk in the scud, inspecting his assets would be entirely appropriate 🤭

I`d imagine that the development of AI must be something that Trump and the likes are very happy with. When photos emerge of him having relations with 14 year olds, he will be able to say "Fake News! It`s AI!".
The past is about to be rewritten

He`s already used that excuse 😂
The guy`s an alleged paedophile and rapist but it`ll never come out as there are hundreds implicated. No doubt when he croaks it we`ll all find out, just like Saville.

The origonal creation or the original accessing the image by Grok for training purpose is surely an illegal act in itself.
I don`t think regulation is ever going to catch up with technology. There needs to be a generic "don`t be a fud" clause in the regulation.

So the party who had to be dragged kicking and screeming into a rape gang enquiry now wish to shut down the most used news sight in the world, the site that has facilitated the ongoing revolution in Iran, the site that told us the Southport killer was not a "Welsh Choirboy" and the site that community notes the Prime Minister on a regular basis....they want to shut down access top the site over fake nudes....that have been around since cave paintings.
Sure, they wish to shut it down for your saftey.

All those other things could still happen (if they were all true) without breaking the law and making up pictures of naked children.

Yeah that’s false. It’s all just a political bandwagon that folk are jumping on. If you search for the grok bikini pics it’s all only fans girls trying to click bait folk into looking at their content.
I also find it funny that pictures of Keir Starmer in a bikini created on ChatGPT are now going viral. I wonder if they’ll have a crack down on chatGPT now?

X doesn’t allow people to create indecent or naked pictures of children. None of the major social media or AI platforms do.
Funnily enough after Elon bought Twitter, greater controls and censorship on that type of content was implemented. They all jumped ship and ended up at Bluesky who have since updated their own controls and censorship on that type of content.
All major social media platforms know it’s a problem and are actively trying to keep that kind of their platform.
It’s not me who has to rethink any reasoning here.

Why do you call him Elon? You wouldn`t refer to Keir Starmer as Keir or Mark Zuckerberg as Mark? Anyways you stated.
"It’s all just a political bandwagon that folk are jumping on. If you search for the grok bikini pics it’s all only fans girls trying to click bait folk into looking at their content.".
That`s not what the controversy is about. There are a number of examples of women, not from only fans, that have had their images altered in a sexual manner by Grok.

Elon is quicker to write than Elon musk and let’s be fair, you knew exactly who I was talking about so I didn’t need to write Elon musk. It’s a bit like when I say Boris is a buffoon - you know what Boris I’m talking about.
The statement I replied to was - Imagine backing a site that allows users to create images of naked children…….
Yeah there was controversy about women having their images altered in a sexual manner but it’s not like X has allowed it to continue. They’ve tried to implement controls to stop it from happening like only paid subscribers being able to use that facility. The issue wasn’t Grok randomly sexualising women, it was individual users doing things they shouldn’t. Again, you can use any of the AI platforms to make those pictures. You should see the Keir in a bikini picture. Quite funny. Made on another AI platform.

Wow.... so a bloke in a bikini is the same as sexualised images of kids?!?
The whole issue is that X initially refused to make the change. It was only when Ofcom put pressure on them (in its normal delayed and way too soft way of applying regulation) that this was changed so that it was prevented for non paid users.
Which then leads to a few further questions....
1. How does the fact it is available to paid users when it is not correct to be a available to unpaid users make it regulatory compliant?
2. If the tool can generate such pictures, can it be sure that it does not use illegal images as part of its training data?
3. Why do you think that any user activity absolves providers like X or Grok or network providers from their obligations under the Online Security Act?

Highest profile example is bikini requests on Nell Fisher from Stranger Things aged 12 or 13 but there are many other complaints about naked children - you reckon you’re some sort Trump and can just shout ‘false news’ and facts stop being facts?

1. A paid up user has to give over their information. If they break C T&C’s they loose their account. If they break the law they’re at risk of police charges. Obviously not fool proof but a much more stringent than the free for all that happened. It’s back to OF girls.
2. The function that was being abused was a function of change my clothes. My wife had daughter were using it the first time I knew about it. It started off with OFGirls and then some idiots used it on different celebrities. I don’t know anything about the programming off AI but I’m pretty certain the intention of the developers isn’t for it to be used for indecent images of women who haven’t requested it themselves or children. Before this event/controversy you couldn’t make sexual images. Basically images showing someone’s bits. That’s why it’s all bikini pictures.
3. I’m not saying any user activity absolves chatGPT, Gemini, Grok, X, Facebook, Reddit, Instagram or any other platforms (the focus is on X now but it won’t stay there. If they can ban X, they can ban any of them. This isn’t about X. It’s about social media platforms in general. I know some folk can’t see past Elon musk but, if they take the time to think about it - its be mark zuckerburg and Jay Graber next. Then it’ll be forums like this) from their obligations however you can’t treat the platform like an individual. The platform is providing a service. Yes I think the platforms need have controls in place and be shown to be pro-active in their stance against certain topics be it CP/extremism/incitements to violence but I also think that individuals should be held accountable for their actions on that platform rather than always just blaming the platform. The politicians here have a knack of blaming major tech companies atm. They were more than happy to welcome Alaa Abd El-Fattah after all his racist anti-white/calls to violence against white people/anti-semetism. Its rules for thee but not for mee…
