The Hollywood actor who appeared in such films as The Godfather, Apocalypse Now and Tender Mercies, for which he won an Oscar, has died at the age of 95.
None of the tributes I`ve seen has mentioned his appearance in the 2002 film about a minor Scottish football club`s run to the Scottish Cup final, `A Shot at Glory`. Ally McCoist had a starring role but many less well-known Scottish footballers made fleeting appearances in it, including our own Andy Smith.

McCoist and Steling spoke about him this morning on Talksport, with Ally producing a couple of nice memories from the filming of it.

There`s an article about it on the BBC Scottish News website. As they say `the film is not remembered as one of Duvall`s greatest works`!

On the entry system intercom was the occupiers name Tom Hagen, a wind up???

I don’t think he really cared.
He just wanted to do it.
He had a blast as well.
