 Brutal knife attack in Belfast

Where does this stop now? It’s happening in all major cities accross Europe.
Why can’t our government protect their own people in this country?
Why should we have to put up with this..imagine an immigrant trying to cut one of our families heads off in the street..but wait a call for peace..if that was my son with one eye and his face sliced to shred with a knife you better arrest me! This government is a shambles and it’s about time they look after the people of Britain.

My question would be around the vetting of who is let in. We know people smugglers advise people to toss passports etc. so what happens when they process someone? How do they determine if someone is here legitimately AND that they`re suitable to be given the freedom to roam the streets? In this case the guy flew here with a passport so the agencies knew exactly who he was and gave him a visa. What actual checks were done?

Dear Sudan. This bloke has turned up here. Is he a nutter?

*Radio silence*

Ah, just let him in.

There is no way to get a reliable response from a failed state. Home Office advise against all travel, but anybody from there can come in. Some perverse logic.

Here is a question..what does the government do with the influx of immigrants coming in with no passport/any ID?
They say send them back but to where? If they have no ID then where do they go?
They will just spend their time here scrounging off us paying our taxes that should go to developing the country we live in.
There has to be a time where we all say “enough is enough” no way can we live like this.

I think the offshore processing had some merit in that regard.

It was a very expensive hammer that may not have cracked that nut.

Staying in the EU may have helped.

That’s the problem..how do you deal with an illegal immigrant who dumped all their ID coming in a boat and has found his way staying in a hotel in Britain?
Where do we send them back to? The answer is we can’t so we are stuck with them.

That`s what the Rwanda deal was proposed to cope with.

2015, 11 years ago.

The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems.

When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you (He points to someone in the crowd). They’re not sending you (points to another). They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.

It`s not that Trump was some great prognosticator, he just did not have the same sensibilities of the politicians who knew what he was saying was true but thought actually saying it was electoral suicide.

Turnberry got taken off the Open roster when he said that all those years ago, along with other performative outrage.

You`ll deny it up and down, you have to, it`s Trump after all, but you are all saying the same now.

And this is the issue. If you are undocumented, you shouldn`t be released until thorough checks are done. What this suggests is I could commit a load of murders, travel to France, come back on a boat and be like "My name is Bob Smith. I am from Sudan." and they`d have to take my word for it. Suddenly I have a new identity and no criminal record.

Trumps example was poor. The Mexicans he was referring to were ones working illegally. They hadn`t been processed. They just turn up and take cash in hand jobs where they can. They weren`t legally living in the country under an assumed name.
