Our very important league game against Arbroath looms large on the horizon but not much speculation is being offered from the Pars faithful so what are our chances? Has the "Bunnet" managed to transform their fortunes so much that, from relegation candidates after the first game, they are now promotion contenders? After all they humbled a Partick Thistle team at Firhill that sunk us last week.

Wee injury update today from the manager
"For as bad as it is injuries wise, today was a good training session. Breeny trained well, Paul Allan trained brilliant after being out with bone bruising in his knee. Andrew Tod won’t be available, he is seeing a specialist. Deniz obviously was on the bench last week.
“Bene won’t make this weekend but come the Ayr United game it will be seven weeks. He was told that he would be back in six weeks but Bene wanted to make that four. He is one that you have to take extra special care with because he will tell you that he is right when he is not.”
Also Summers "touch and go" for Saturday but should be back next week

Hard to predict but all matches in this league are. Depends which Arbroath and which Pars turn up. On a good day for both I say we win.

I think it will be an exciting game that we will either win or draw. We could do without all those injuries, but I still feel we will have enough to more than match the Bunnet`s men.

Looking at the forecast must be some doubt about the game, which given our injury list might not be the worst news.

Id be shocked if there was - our pitch only really floods when theres been extreme dry weather for weeks before. Our general drainage is good Id say.

Arbroath beat us in my first game back after covid, and took some of the gloss of my boxing day when watching the stream in the Grant/Hughes season. Both 3-0 defeats
So want us to stuff them. Wanna see Campbell chucking his bunnet in a puddle as out 5th goes in, and stamping on it, jumping up and down, angered by the annihilation his side has suffered.
So bring it on!

The lichties have been blowing hot and cold this season, so far (my predictions have been oot the windae too). I’d like a good physical game tomorrow to see them off.

Aye, my predictions on both them and the Pars have been wildly incorrect this season, therefore I`m going for 3-1 to the Licties

One of those days where you imagine the groundsman would probably be hoping it doesn`t go ahead as the pitch will be ruined.
BBC weather says it`s to keep raining until 5am tomorrow.

I think it’s been a while since we’ve had an orange weather warning for rain alone, it’s likely there will be a few call offs today. Trains will be gubbed at some point as well. Hopefully our game survives and we can get the 3 points.

There can`t be many Pars fans who were happy the game was off yesterday, but I couldn`t have made it, so from a purely selfish point, I had a wee smile to myself as I should be able to attend the game when it`s eventually played.

Given the weather forecast I was expecting more games to be off and I was surprised our game was one of the few casualties. I thought our drainage was much better than it used to be and would have been able to cope with yesterday`s rain which was steady rather than torrential.

Coming back from town at about 4.15 it didn`t look too bad. Interesting that the photo they used on SM to say it was off just showed the AstroTurf flooded and not the actual pitch... conspiracy theorists will say we didn`t put much effort in to allow our injuries to clear...

Need to consider safety of those attending too. Roads were awful until later in the day. Doesn`t help that they clearly don`t teach people how to drive through water anymore. Fair few knackered cars and potential accidents caused by people driving through the water with no thought to other road users.

Currently getting rid of a heavy cold, so quite happy yesterday when found out it was off. I’m also a fan of thinking by timeout next game is on, Allan, Breen, Mehmet, Summers being back and maybe Bene that closer to being ready. Leaving only KRH, Todd and Tod as being out - that being the case it should be less of an injury crisis and more like business as usual with a normal injury load for a championship squad.
