Just read they’re 5 points adrift at the foot of the table. Only one win and that was v Alloa in the Viaplay cup match.

No surprise after his outburst yesterday. When he said some players would be "lucky to play again for him" he turned out to be right...

Absolutely - listening to that on radio, I thought this was pretty much a condemned man making his parting speech.

I see Livingston have rejected an approach for Martindale.

Id be shocked if he left Livi for St Johnstone tbh.

He should really be going to one of the big 5 from Livi, but none will take the risk of being associated with him. Although, he may be a replacement for Naismith when he eventually goes - Hearts have hired dubious people in the past…

Maybe he`s looking for new material for his BBC podcast `Sacked in the Morning`! I see Andy Kirk is to be his assistant.

I think he might do a good job. Levein was a decent manager who was excellent in his first spell at Hearts, then at Dundee Utd. The time away from football might have done him the world of good. Used to think he was a bit of a f*d but quite enjoy listening to him on Sacked in the Morning!

He`s probably the best out there at the moment that will keep St Johnstone up. He needs to steady the ship first and I hope he does well.

Could be a good appointment, could be poor, nobody really knows till he gets settled in.

Sacked in the morning is a good listen too, he comes across well in it!

Think he will do OK.

Will be all the usual Levein hallmarks i`d imagine; team of bruisers, make them hard to beat, strong at set pieces and all the rest of it.

Quite like Martindale but the constant references to budgets & resources that he seems to mention every single time he is interviewed is starting to get a bit tiresome.
