The two gift goals look even worse on second viewing. We created a few half-chances in the second half with some good build-up play but lacked that little break or killer instinct that might have produced another goal. That was Todd`s best game since all his injuries and illness and hopefully there is more to come.

Just messed up badly, otherwise not a bad performance overall, but gave Partick the initiative, and just didnt quite do enough to get anything out if it.

Ive seen way worse defeats than that and at the time felt we were a bit unlucky not to get something, but if you give away goals like that you can only blame yourselves. Mehmet..oh dear, in my head i thought maybe a partick player obstructed his view or something, but looking at it on highlights i was being generous. It was just bad

As I am a glutton for punishment I just watched the highlights again
And I agree with wee eck , on second and third viewing they are terrible goals to lose , apart from Deniz gifting them these goals , he didn`t have much to do , we were undone by 2 set pieces and all our own doing ! I will say every time a team gets a corner etc against us I am never very confident that we will clear it , we always seem to be all over the place !
A wee bit of composure in the second half and we at the very least could have got a draw , I know Mcpake didn`t come out and blame Deniz but for me it was his fault we didn`t pick up any points ! 1 header straight at him and then dropping a simple catch , thats a few howlers already since he came back

Geez. Mehmet dropping clangers quite regularly just now.

Mcpake has his work cut out to turn him around so he’s a positive again.

Otoo just looks like such a strong runner with the ball, I think he would be great in the middle of the park for us with matty and Hamilton.

Another bad miss from Jak, did the hard part and got the break of the ball but in the end he just always seems to come up short.

Otoo although very raw is arguably the player with the most potential at the club, could have a very promising career.

Only highlights, I know, but Otoo oozes class. He’s going to be a very important player for us. It’s going to be a great pleasure watching him progress as I’m sure he will.

For the first goal, I dont think there`s much Mehmet can do about the shot, since it`s so close, but cause its close, he could`ve easily came out and got it...

But then watching the second goal, we see why he doesn`t...

2nd goal was an easy catch, no-one even challenging him for the ball. Dreadful goalkeeping. 1st goal, the cross is 3 yards out and no real pace on it yet he doesn`t claim it, and poor defence from Edwards. We chucked that game.

Think the keeper is at fault for both goals ,as stated by others he does not command his area enough ,Sadly we don`t have anyone to take his place who is any better .

A new goalkeeper is required in January. If not then we’ll be giving away plenty more goals due to goalkeeping errors

Unfortunately McPake signed him for 3 years on a ridiculous deal after a few saves in the seaside league.

Our goalkeeping problem is far bigger than our continually improving attack. Mehmet is here to stay and it makes me want to burn my season ticket.

I really, really hope that Deniz has a MoM performance next week with some world-class saves and a clean sheet.

After watching that I think we were extremely unlucky not to get something from it. Plenty spirit shown after going 2 behind. I dont think Partick are far ahead of us.

They are not. However, it wasn`t really bad luck. It was conceding 2 very bad goals and, our old failing, squandering good chances ourselves.

That is the problem with highlights. Mehmet was at fault for the 2nd goal but what you don’t see for the first goal is that Edwards completely lost his man before the ball was crossed and he knew it as he walked towards the restart. The Thistle player turned him inside out to the point Edward’s was out of position and behind the attacking player. It was really poor defending.

I honestly thought we were as good if not better than them

The first goal was a defence problem .. the second .. well what else can we say

Otoo is progressing well and will be one of our best

Jak just needs a goal

Mehmet just needs a coach to help him I`m not sure if Andrew is still the coach but he has to help him more

4th right now is good considering all that has gone before

Mehmet hasn`t looked quite right since coming back from injury. Maybe needs support mentally to rebuild confidence.

For some reason I thought Little had been loaned out but he appears to still be there. Losing Sharp should at least free up a wage.

I`m not in any way excusing Mehmet`s errors on Saturday, but I suspect if we were to watch other Championship teams as much as we watch DAFC we would see keepers at other clubs make howlers too - some are punished by goals, others not.

EG I know several Partick Thistle fans had been agitating online for Jamie Sneddon to be replaced in goal by David Mitchell, after Sneddon's errors at Raith. And yet IMO Sneddon`s superb save from Matty Todd was decisive - had that gone in I believe we would have scored again.
