I`ve seen this said elsewhere too now, I wouldn`t doubt it.
McPake doesn`t suggest Bene`s not being considered in his pre-match interview, so I`ll stick to the belief that he`ll be leading the team out tonight and that one or two wee wide-os are taking the pith..... ๐

It seems odd that the manager didn`t mention this at the supporters` groups meeting last night especially after conceding that his returns to action after his injuries could have been managed better. Where exactly is he reported to have said this? There`s nothing about it in the Courier, Press or COWS.

Neither Digs nor NW 1966 mentioned Bene wouldn`t be playing tonight although they both gave quite detailed accounts of the injury situation and Digs covered Bene`s specifically. A strange omission I would have thought but time will tell.

Listen we all love the pars right, and that`s why we argue and fall out half the time so I totally get the levels of frustration the past few months.
But, surely tonight emphasises how much of a horror show our injuries have been and where we might have been in the table in different circumstances.
Let`s get right behind the lads and see what we can achieve in the next couple of months. You never know...

Tonight, great result aside, was a bit of a weird one. Its great to win against a side sitting top, but they also didnโt show up for large parts of the game. But thats because we didnt let them.
The key now is to win the other games that we have struggled in this season. No point beating Utd, if we then go on to lose to Morton next week. Lets use this as a positive and push forward now!

We`d be third with that team. No doubt in my mind whatsoever that the three of them fit add ten points or so. It just is what it is and focus on the rest of the league. Tasty if we beat Morton next week though.

We won`t start with a back 4, mcpake plays 3 central defenders pretty much every week. We rarely started with a back 4 when we had 1 central defender fit.

I`m pretty sure it was a back four with MWH at RB on Friday though. McPake after the game said he`d been too naive in sticking with a back 5 too, I think we`ll see a lot more of the formation above for the rest of the season.
Agree that looks the strongest team, Fisher will be great to have back but he looked a bit rusty on Friday, understandably

Was a back three, WH played right side of the three with KRH as right wing back. Exactly the same as the Rovers game

Big Kyle was showing his displeasure at some sloppy play near the end of the 2nd half vs Arbroath. Not sure who the target was. At first I thought it was Josh then maybe it was McCann. Also witnessed Jimmy Mac going ballistic at half time when I was waiting in the queue for the loo. Seemed to have the desired effect.
It`s a passionate game :)
