After yesterday`s exquisite effort from Paul Allan I`ve been racking my brains for other Pars` goals scored from free kicks outside the box. The most famous one of course is Martin Hardie`s against the Rovers and Lewis McCann scored one at Hampden in the 2-0 win over QP earlier this season but I`m struggling to remember any others. Can anyone help?

Did Martin Hardie not score one in our first match back in the SPL? The Caley 3-3 game?

Hardie`s late equaliser (3-3 I think) against Inverness the following season was better than the one against The Rovers.

I had a feeling Reece Cole scored one. Did he also score one against us (for PT maybe)?
Who was Scott Murdoch. nick dafc1? I don`t recall that name.

I think nick dafc1 might be thinking of Scott McCulloch who could hit a dead ball, the only Murdoch I can think of playing for us is Sean who should be nowhere near a free kick

First pars goal I ever saw was a free kick. Steve Morrison vs meadowbank thistle October 1985 shooting towards the away end.

My fading memory seems to recall Allan Preston scoring a free kick away to Hamilton Accies in a 2 - 0 win 🤔

A vague childhood memory but didn’t Derek Fleming score a belter of a free kick only for it to be disallowed because it was meant to be an indirect one?

I remember Stevie Morrison scoring an absolute cracker at Firhill back in the day......possibly against Clyde?

I am sure I remember Stevie Morrison scoring a peach against Cowdenbeath at the away end. The ref disallowed it for some reason. Zico stepped up and fired the second one in too…..
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

It was a home cup game against St Mirren, it always sticks in my mind because he scored it the result was a goal kick for St Mirren

Gary Dempsey`s against Celtic while they were still organising their wall was hilarious. Not sure what the ref was smoking that day.

Can vaguely remind John Clark v St Johnstone at the Cowdenbeath end, two strides and bang, just about lifting the net out

Pretty sure that goal you are talking about stood, we were two nil down at the time and we came back to win 3-2. Heddle scored with a header and I think Watson got the winner.
It was a genuine 45-yarder.

The Clark one was something else. Sadly, it set a far too high expectation
