Seriously ill in hospital.
Kevin Campbell the same, as of last week.
Let’s hope they both pull through 🙏

Most of us will only remember Kevin Campbell as a fine striker, but Alan Hansen was an institution for over two decades on MOTD as well as being a classy defender for Liverpool and Scotland. I`ve always liked him both as a player and a pundit. He always expressed his footballing opinions with great conviction but never came across as arrogant. It`s quite rare to see such humility in a top player.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to both of them.

Really sad, I remember Hank Hansen from his Lornshill Academy days.
He lived next door to my primary school buddy in Sauchie - the scar on his head was from going through a plate glass door when he was a youngster.
Hope he pulls through.

Sad news that Kevin Campbell, as GG mentioned above, after short illness has passed away. Judging by the platitudes I`ve read today he seems to have been one of life`s good guys.

We can only assume terminal cancer sadly.

Don`t think it`s that aaps. In fact Graeme Souness was on talk sport earlier saying he spoke to Hansen yesterday and he feels he may now be on the road to recovery.

Heard that interview earlier and it`s absolutely fantastic news

Thanks TOWK. Great news if that’s the case.

Brilliant news. Always admired Hansen as a player and a very charismatic human being.v
I haven`t heard the Souness interview, but I can`t imagine he would say that if it wasn`t true. I`m sure they were good friends as well as teammates, so it would be incredibly cruel to put out misinformation.

He was looking well at the Liverpool game at the end of the season, so it must have been reasonably sudden.Great news if he is on the mend.
