Ayr one up. Good feet and finish from Henderson, although initially an Airdrie player robbed when facing his own goal. Should have been hooked clear first time.

Should be two. Airdrie not in the game first ten minutes. Ayr pressing high and winning the ball in areas close to goal

Early goal for Ayr …. that’ll be game over then?

2-0.

Nice move up the right. Musonda with the overlap and a low cross finished by Oakley.

Found by a deft pass from Henderson who looks a decent player

Ayr are a very good side, they have made good signings and will surely finish in the top 4.

Maybe we should have got a manager from the Bay.Looks like he can get a team playing.

Will be interesting to see if Ayr can keep up this press and what McCabe does to counteract it

A very good half by Ayr. They have done their homework and never allowed Airdrie to settle and play passes. I’m sure other managers will have taken note.

Ayr look well balanced. Keep it simple and get balls into the box from wide areas as much as possible

Do Airdrie have a second keeper?

Maybe we could get him?

Aside from all the attacking players they`ve brought in i noticed they`ve got rid of the big centre back McGinty who i always thought looked a bit suspect.

Henderson again. 3-0. This time the move came down the left. Poor defending mind you.

We wouldn’t be able to cope too well with Ayr’s energy.

Airdrie keeper gifts the fourth goal

Cracking game, ayr could be this seasons raith.

I don’t consider these teams our rivals, they will both be top half if not better come the end of the season.

You can see that Ayr are well drilled. Everyone knows their roles and they work very hard and in unison

Henderson and Rus provide that wee bit of magic

I’ve been impressed how Ayr have kept up the relentless tempo. So easy to have shut up shop at 3-0 and seen the game out

Ayr have made some fantastic signings to improve from last season and they`re making a big impact. Shows what 4 or 5 quality additions does to your team

There`s more chance of Brown going to Raith

The team looked very fit and pressed continuously, Airdrie didn`t know what had hit them. Ayr looked brilliant. Where did they get the money, that they built a new stand and built such an exciting team.

Investment from owner. Local lad done well with a building company, personally funding it.
