Was looking forward to next week - even after Saturday - as it`s now my closest away game before i realised we have no fixture and it`s not untill the 24th August.
Had a wee look at Hamilton website regarding tickets, nothing up yet understandably but still had the info up from their first home game.
Assuming it will be the same.....make sure you are sitting comfortably. £26 for an adult ticket.
Give them their due £8 for Under-16s which is about the going rate and seems reasonable enough but for a team that`s just came up from League one that seems pretty hefty for normal tickets.
Will still go of course so more fool me i guess. Don`t get to many away games, is this the going rate now? What were Dundee Utd charging last season?

I noticed their prices when the fixtures were announced - I was very relieved to find out that the first away fixture against them was 24th August knowing that I would be unable to make it - and I generally go to all away games but I really don`t want to have to pay those prices.

Pah call me a gullible fool then but it’s still a good day out and with the kid prices good is still ok for me albeit on the pricey side.
Given recent news as well be good if we had a big attendance to show that despite the issues off field we’re there for the players.

Look at concert tickets now. Over £100 mostly.
You can barely get a tradesman for under £50 an hour.
Of course we don`t go to concerts 2 to 4 times a month though.
I see an issue when you take the kids, too, though. That can`t be easy.

Yes, they cap them to prevent market value taking hold due to the cost of transport for away fans.
There would be many ways to compare,
A better comparison would be the cost a of cinema ticket in the 90s to the cost now. I`d be surprised if the cost of a football ticket in Scotland has kept up with the increases in other leisure activities.
A really interesting one would be how many hours at minimum wage would you require to work to buy a ticket, in that sense football tickets have never been cheaper!

You can charge £30 a head when you are getting tens of millions from tv deals and massive sales of kits, etc.
Smaller businesses are always more expensive. They have to charge what is necessary to function.

theres a "gentlemans agreement" between clubs on recipricol pricing for away fans. Leeds charged Portsmouth £30 a head for opening game of the season.
