I dont get involved in the business sides. So am still confused.
So who owns the ground, is that separate, could that now be sold, is it any different to the past four years.
Who owns the name dafc?
Who owns the ream and contracts of staff/players
Who owns training facilities at Rosyth.
Who owns the academy
Is it 100% or different parts own percentages.
Thanks in advance for any clarification.

As it stands, GmbH own 30% of the football club. However, they have loan notes than can be converted to own 75% at any time. This will likely be a part of any deal.
Pars United CIC are currently majority shareholders though.
Pars United EEP is a separate entity, they own the stadium and lease it to Dunfermline Athletic.
Training ground land is owned by civil service and the club have a 25 year lease for it.
The football club owns all player registration/contracts and the academy is part of the football club now.

I think it`s fair to say the German consortium will want recompensed based on 75% ownership. That doesn`t mean they get their investment back though as the price will depend on the current share price. This may be why someone posted a few weeks ago suggesting administration. 75% of heehaw is zero.

They can only sell their 75% for the same value that someone is willing to pay for it.

Actually I thought of whether that could be a fan fundraiser syndicate. £2 a ticket x number of fans where the money gets put on the lottery. But then I thought is it worth just giving the £4 a week to the fundraiser 😂

So that means what is up for sale is the 30% or 75% part. Currently who owns the rest of this percentage.

One of the main concerns is whether the club will be tied to a training ground and academy that is a financial burden to the detriment of the first team, even with new owners.

Let’s remember the club received grants to pay for the Astro etc at Rosyth plus we’re waiting on a grant to refurbish the building but this was not going to start till March 2025….. so how much money have the Germans actually put into the new academy?? It’s definitely not a million but imo about £200k at the most… so where has the other money they invested gone?? with all the transfer money, stadium rights, euro zone, season tickets and strip sales…???
Mon the Pars!

What are you trying to say? That there`s some sort of criminal activity gone on? Step up to the plate and say what you`re thinking or can you please just bore off

Remember when the players trained at the public park and Lynebank. No need then for "fancy" training facilities.

Ah, yes, the good old days. I remember going to watch the Pars train at Humbug Park, Crossgates, during the school holidays in the 60s. Why didn`t we just stay there instead of having ideas above our station like having our own training ground?

Yes, surely that would have been the way ahead, share the facilities at an existing local club who wouldn`t be using it during the day. Kelty would have been ideal, and that`s owned by Fife Council I believe.
Or Rosyth, but we shafted them big time. We should have probably seen the way they were treated as a warning sign that their community/ fair play ethos wasn`t worth the paper it was written on

Worth pointing out that players are employees just like most of us are. I`ve worked in various places and can confidently say ulive always preferred the nice warm offices with decent kitchens than a draughty warehouse. What was considered the norm in the past isn`t anymore.
I do agree that we could have utilised other existing bases though.

It`s mind-boggling the kind of allegations that can be made on here based on little more than speculation. Any potential investor might be easily put off if they read some of the stuff on here. And why would the German owners feel inclined to be co-operative in doing a deal which might benefit the club if they read it? Everyone needs to calm down.

I`ve seen a few teams training at Aberdour to this day or getting punished on Gullane beach in pre-season.
There may have been a local junior club with a decent grass pitch? Offer them a youngster or 2 in loan in return.Having aspirations of your own is admirable, but you wonder about the timing and would rather do it from a position of strength?

Let`s no kid ourselves on here. Rosyth is hardly state of the art. It`s basically an astro with some porta cabins dotted about. There should have been no issue to use Kelty. Cheaper and any maintenance issues wouldn`t come back to us.
The training ground is a great idea if we had a squad who can consolidate our position in the league and can take little steps to improve that.
We are in a much worse situation than last season. We lost our best player and don`t even have a sub goalkeeper. We also have a seventeen year old who looks like our only goal threat.
It`s abundantly clear the priority is a youth set up and that`s fine if you don`t neglect the first team as we have.
c'mon the pars

This is crazy stuff
They siphoned money off some wee backwater Scottish club so they could pump it all into getting St Pauli into the German top flight.

Imagine thinking a club with a turnover of about €50 million per hear, a massive stadium, huge merchandise sales and lots of TV money every year would have to skim a few hundred grand off somewhere else to get promoted. What next, BP`s massive profits are from the guy in Rosyth overcharging for their car wash?

No wonder they decided to call it quits. If I had invested that sort of money and had fans calling me a thief, I`d run it into the ground to get my money back.
I acknowledge that the board could have done things differently and communication of what they wanted to do could have been better, but I also do think a lot of the problems can be traced back to the fans. I think one thing that has ruined this for us more than anything else has been the small minority of absolute wee tw@ts we have in our support. I would say from when those wee @rs£h0les battered the deaf Raith Rovers fan, we have seen the investment group take a step back. I reckon that was a pivotal moment. Personally, I was absolutely scunnered seeing those videos, probably the lowest point I`ve had following The Pars.

This has to be a wind up surely? You cant seriously be blaming fans for investors not investing the amount of money actually required to run the club correctly? 😂🤦🏻♂️

I think there is an element of truth in what RSP says. Not for a minute am I suggesting that all, or even the majority of, Pars fans are to blame for the GmbH decision to withdraw, but we have had some highly visible bad publicity in the last few years that GmbH was very aware of- attacks on Ross McArthur, the attack on the Raith fan, and most recently the abuse of David Cook at the Falkirk match.
German football fans are no angels either, so probably the GmbH guys were naive in thinking it would all be different in Dunfermline, but I really do think they were here for their personal enjoyment as much as for financial gain - I don`t think they needed or expected to make money, so when things got nasty they didn`t see any merit in hanging around and putting more money into a project with embarrassing side-effects.
Probably money was the ultimate deciding factor, but I certainly don`t think it was the only one.
