I see that some of the locals are not impressed

PARS Foods announce

As well as the regular options of Scotch, Steak & Gravy and Macaroni Pies, we are pleased to introduce a special “Pie of the Month”. The first of these is the delicious Doner Kebab Pie, which we’re sure will be a big hit with fans!

I walk an extra mile past Stephens to go to Stuarts bakers on the rare occasion I go for a steak pie.Stephens is pretty grim, rock hard pies, left out all day with next to no filling. I must say I do occasionally enjoy a plain roll from there, though.
Have to laugh at the photos in the Airdrie article-surely trading standards will be onto them- it would take about a dozen actual Stephens pies to reach that meat content😂

Would be good if they brought a few of their vegetarian savoury pies - they have a chili one which is really nice (unlike a macaroni one)

Agreed. It is very good. Surprised they don`t have it as a veggie option.
The doner pies are also very good.

Pretty sure they do (or did do) the food for Falkirk, certainly used to see the vans delivering on a weekly basis and have a wee chuckle to myself.

Falkirk use Pie Sports for their catering which is part of Pars Foods.

Surprised they`re not in trouble for "Pie Sports". Even the logo is a rip off!

It would be glorious to see a massive "PARS" sign in Grangemouth 😂

It`s a weird one as my understanding is the Pars side of the business is more wholesale and Stephens retail so I`m guessing the Pie Sports brand is being used to other clubs fans don`t realise they`re funding a Pars sponsor.

I know it`s been discussed to death, but I`d rather we had Baynes.

Unfortunately Baynes are not interested in supplying us.

Not sure if they had a bad experience supplying The Rovers a while back.

They`re maybe just not interested in it. I can`t imagine it`s easy finding people who want to work for a couple of hours every other Saturday and the money won`t be any better than they`ll get through a traditional shop. I still think there`s an opportunity missing to offer space to food vans to set up for a few hours. The traditional pie and Bovril is now a pretty sad affair. Grisly, greasy or watered down.

Has me thinking back there, their shirts were always sponsored by the local bakery firm (Dalziel) in 90`s.
