Setup to keep the score 0-0 with 10 minutes left and bring on Cooper and Sutherland to nick a goal.

What are you insinuating? Why would the manager tell the opposition if there was a touch and go injury decision?

Rusty is it better to deflect to me than have a guy who’s done nothing this season walk straight back into the team? To me it shows how poor the squad is in that case. Why can’t star signing wotherspoon get a game and is cooper too raw to start a game?

But still mccann is long overdue a goal, surely he’ll manage at least 1 league goal in 2024? Aye he’ll come good soon I’m sure…

No idea what to expect with that team? If we get to half time at 0-0 or take the lead than we have half a chance.

New signings Fogarty, Wotherspoon, Cooper and Mebude all on the bench while we persist with players who have been letting us down. Don`t know what McPake is thinking about.

Very very unlucky with the goal, if the ball hits the post at almost any other angle it goes out or goes wide but as it is, it rebounded straight into Hamilton`s midriff and he couldn`t do anything about it.

They are a million miles quicker than us, get it wide and high quickly and aren`t afraid to throw themselves down at the merest touch (which the referee is buying every time). We have bo out ball when we manage to clear it and it`s very much one way traffic at the moment. Hard to see how we get away from here without taking a spanking.

Geez Kelty thought we might rise to the occasion but these players are not good enough regardless.

As it stands, gotta hope airdrie don’t beat ayr or we’ll be 3 points adrift at the bottom…

Behind without being completely out played. Two or three decent chances in the half.

Falkirk seem to have more of a plan though. The Pars are a bit random, unless the plan it to try and win free kicks around the box (which isn`t a terrible plan).

We can get back into this, but only if we can score...

When we bested Falkirk in League One they played tippy tappy stuff and were very predictable. Now they get the ball high and wide very quickly and are causing all sorts of problems. We have no out ball, can barely string 2 passes together and had it not been for the keeper could have been more than one down
And yet... Falkirk defensively don`t look great and we`ve manages to create a couple of half chances at least. So the slim hope is still there but I honestly can`t see it happening. Of course McPake will claim that it was all due to luck if it stays this way, and no doubt there will be some amongst the support who`ll believe him.

Wighton not to blame. He`s not a lone striker, but we`ve known that for 2 years and McPake persists with it.

Wighton can do a job if he has support. He`s being given none.

Mcpake will get Tuesday’s game at least, lose that and he should go but it seems the owners have about as much interest as sacking mcpake as he does in resigning.

Usual performance from us, doesn’t matter who were are playing, we do the same set up and tactics with the same players and somehow expect different results.

What game are you watching? Tobi had a great save to keep it at 1-0 while I don`t remember their keeper really having a save to make? Couple of headers wide and a volley from distance and that`s been it.

Moot point now anyway, 2-0 and game over. Given away cheaply again and Hamilton getting into a bit of a fankle again unfortunately and Miller had a tap in.

Barring some kind of miracle then we`re 6 points from 10 games, lowest scorers in Britain and half way to another "lets have a full season of losing to the closest rival in the league" banter season.

Awful, just awful. Patience gone.

I’d have had Bene in for experience and Hamilton in midfield along with Otoo for protection.
I’d be playing Wotherspoon too. Big games need big players.
Sutherland and Cooper must be pulling their hair out. ?

McPake leaves out CB`s for a guy that is a midfielder, which results in the defence collapsing. Go figure.

There is literally no reason for keeping McPake. The costs of relegation to League 1 will dwarf the costs to sack him and get someone else in. Will the Germans do it? Wouldn`t count on it. Probably laughing from their Ivory Towers. Complete shambles.

"You don`t understand the word "chances" but that`s okay."

Headers 10 yards wide from 20 yards out and volleys from the edge of the box are not "better chances" than shots inside the six yard box blocked by a defender or goalkeeper when if they didn`t get to it they would have scored. So not sure what point you`re trying to make.

Shows you what being a bit more direct and quick can do - webe looked more dangerous since Dapo and Cooper have come on. Still no dome enough but at least something positive for a change. Still think McPake should be gone though.

It’s standard mcpake, subs make an improvement but only because the team in the first half offers nothing going forward. And the opposition go a few goals ahead so take their foot off the gas.

Hamilton flying, 3-0 now.

Too little, too late.

We can clearly create chances, but don`t ever seem to start with any urgency and always have to turn it around later in the game.

The squad looks good enough to be higher up the league. The manager just needs to set them up to be more aggressive from the start.

He starts with the wrong team every week and is incapable of fashioning a win. He signs numerous players and leaves most of them on the bench while continuing to play duds like Wighton who gets hooked every week. His time is more than up.

Time for him to go now.

Same stuff every week, same last ditch attempt to make something of the game tends to save him week in week out.

We need to replace him with someone who can get more out of these players, who I still think are more than capable of competing in this league.

Agree with you there RS. Not saying we would skoosh the league with someone else at the helm but there is enough talent there to potentially push for a playoff place. That would take a manager who isn`t a stubborn kkuntt tho.

Obviously sacking McPake is needed but some of the players should be hanging their head in shame, no one wants the ball and are happy to hide and hold hands with the defenders instead of offering an option.

Disappointing result again. Bottom line is that we need to be capable of scoring two goals in a game to start getting victories. We need to find a way of doing that. We definitely need to be on the front foot at the start of the game. Losing a goal and trying to fight your way back into it has been a familiar story this season. We need to get a winning mentality.

Can’t we start selling half season tickets?

This would be tickets that get you in at half time so you only watch the 2nd half, only issue is you don’t want someone to ruin it for you by telling you the half time score.

Something has got to give soon, if this is the best we’ve got the players are not good enough or they ain’t playing for the manager, either way mcpake is on the hook.

Mcpake clearly has no idea tactically we looked like a bunch of scoolboys at times in the first half although we did fashion a couple of chances which as usual we failed to convert, his obsession with playing Wighton week after week is unbelievable he brings nothing to the team,

So, we have lost by the odd goal against the top of the league. They arent great but are somehow 20 points above us.

There is no doubt the players were trying but there are continuous wee errors that are frustrating. The 2nd goal was absolutely inept. It came when it looked as though the 3 subs were making a difference in terms of speed and aggression. That goal took the legs from us.

The subs came just after Hosler and Wighton almost created a goal. If the cross was an inch closer to Wighton it would have got it in. Hosler was also getting space to run at their defenders.

Were the subs too early? Did the subs lead to the 2nd goal?

So, not a lot is going for us despite the effort. There is enough for people to debate the decisions that are taken. But you don`t get debate in the stands - just constant abuse.

I think we have a good squad. They need a reasonable amount to time to gel. But only so much. And MCPake has to fashion the team so they don`t make silly mistake but more importantly create and take chances.

We have Tuesday to come. I have to assume everyone wants us to do well. If you want to boo the team and abuse the players can it not wait till the game is over.

When Mebude and Cooper were running at them they looked a bit panicky at the back. So it was bizarre when Sutherland came on he played him wide and moved Dapo central where he wasn`t as effective. Yet more square pegs in round holes nonsense from the Galaxy brain in the dug out. Any momentum we had gone.

lol they need time to gel?

Only 2 outfield players today were new in this season. Doesn’t explain why do the other players play like they only met each other in the car park.

3 centre back on the bench and mcpakes preferred option is a midfielder. Again it feels like he wants paid off.

That’s a great way to conflate different opinions and smash them together to try stick up for a manager who has us 2nd bottom of the league.

Individually there isn’t a lot between the two teams. As many Dunfermline players would get in that Falkirk team as Falkirk players would get in our team.

The biggest difference between the 2 teams is organisation.

Falkirk are a better organised team.

We don’t have a plan.

I’ll no even mention players playing out of position

I’ve stuck up for James McPake on here saying he needs time but I’m not seeing enough for the time he has had (May 2022) Granted he’s been left hanging in the transfer market but the squad of players he has at his disposal are more than capable of being competitive in the championship. I don’t think we would be troubling promotion, I do think we should have had 5th in our sights.

At the moment we’re on for relegation play offs.

Thankfully Airdrie are worse than us. Hopefully Hamilton or Morton or someone will turn out to be as well 🤷🏻‍♂️

Accepting the financial predicament of sacking manager, but we have something very wrong, and we need a change. I don`t think we will get relegated but it`s not certain. We have good enough players, but often out of position and often on the bench, so the tactics And motivation are at fault. A few players I would not have in the team as they are completely not effective. Also many players should hold head in shame.. I think two games if no improvement we should get rid.

The biggest difference between the two teams is definitely organisation and having a set game plan.
We have individual players who can make a difference but we have others who have no idea what they are doing and that showed very clearly in the amount of balls we gave away in the wrong areas of the pitch.
Why KRH was subbed is a real mystery as he was the only one putting decent crosses into the box imo.
Wotherspoon is a waste of a jersey and why McPake rates him is another mystery.
I have no doubts at all now we are facing relegation or playoffs at best.

I think that’s a wee bit harsh on Wotherspoon tbh. Yeah he’s had a couple of stinkers but he does have ability others don’t. I just think he’s at the end of career that being said… I wouldn’t have made the KRH sub either.

Honestly I’d love to see matty Todd back in the middle of the park and medube looked good on the left.
I’d be playing Medube left, Todd in the middle and KRH on the right.

Quite a few players playing full time football this season due to relationship with manager and his assistant instead of ability at this level. It’s no surprise we are where we are.

lol he chased wotherspoon for 2-3 years and when he does come his legs have gone so he’s a benchwarmer at best. Where’s that wage thief o’hallaran?

Quite a few players playing full time football this season due to relationship with manager and his assistant instead of ability at this level. It’s no surprise we are where we are.

I think without hearing anything O’Halloren has been frozen out of the squad. I think him and McPake don’t see eye to eye. He’d probably be your best pal.

We all knew Wotherspoon is at the end of his career. Still, he’s the only player of ours I’ve seen turn defenders inside out. The quality of his delivery also far exceeds anyone else in the squad. The ball he put in for McCanns header was top drawer. All of his corners were dangerous. The crosses he put in were causing issues. We had just substituted the only player we had on the pitch that offered any threat in the air by that point.

What I struggle to understand is signing Wotherspoon when the team badly needed pace in midfield. I`m sure he had a plan but I just don`t see it.

That’s a fair point. Since then Medube has been added and if anything, I thought he offered glimmers of hope once he came on.

Mcpake has built a team with absolutely no pace in the team , if you bring in players at the end of their career , at least have legs and pace around them, we will never score a breakaway goal ,with this team.
The wide players for Falkirk were in acres of space anytime they picked the ball on the wings, played it into our box and players were once again in space , to big a gap between the defence and midfield.
The only way we were going to score was free kicks, our corners and throw ins are shocking .
Maybe we produce something special on Tuesday?

Falkirk play with width. Their wingers hug each touchline. Their full backs back them up. One of the CM drift wide, they use the other as a pivot in the middle and switch the ball through him or even just play one right over the top of everyone. They had a 3v2 all day doing it.

The issue for me about us isn’t whether the players are good enough because I think they are. It’s that we don’t seem to have any strategy or tactics until we are the point where we are chasing a game then start going very direct. It’s at that point it looks like we could score but not before where we look aimless. Makes us look like we have no spirit which is unfair on the few players who are trying to dig in but are up against it.

A good manager would have this squad of players much further up the table. I have no doubt about that

Possibly a mid table side, but we are really lacking width. A Cardle and Gibson would be great for us...

Or a dom, anyone who is exciting to watch and does something a bit different.

KRH finally showing signs of life and hopefully mebude adds something on the left as we’re pretty much playing McCann there as there’s no other options.

Not sure how much further we would be up the table as think a fair few are not good enough or certainly on thier way down but I think we’d be better to watch and look more like a cohesive unit.

KRH showed glimmer of hope late on , needs to do more from the start, Mebude offers more on the other wing, but alas Mcpake will revert to norm on Tuesday and will start with Wighton leading the line.

No-one can convince me that a team of the following wouldn`t be further up the league with a less risk-averse coaching set up.

Tobi

Ngwenya
Young
Fogarty
Comrie

Otoo
Cooper
Todd

KRH
Kane
Mbeude

With McCann, Sutherland, Hamilton, Bene, Fisher, Clay, Chalmers more than capable deputies.

Do you all know that if you listened when I stated the Germans takeover was going to end up the worst decision for the club when they went in control… I was carded/betated and made an outcast on this site. But I suppose we are where we are and can’t get out of this mess untill the Germans get their money back….keep McPake and that’s us down a league next season…

Would never blame him for jumping ship. Getting played as a deep playmaker under Grant. Hilarious ineptitude

He signed a PCA with the team who relegated us! Get a hoad of yourself!

How dare he look after his own interests! Far too good for League 1

He was and is too good for league 1, on his day but his self serving act contributed to us going down. Thats ok with you clearly.

Also, he`s hardly tearing up the championship on a weekly basis either. He comes across as a complete fanny.
