From BBC Sport:-
Scotland`s concluding Nations League matches against Croatia and Poland will again to be broadcast on YouTube, rather than on television.
Scandinavian broadcaster Viaplay owns the rights to show the games but announced in June 2023 it is scaling back its operations in the UK.
The company will still produce coverage of the matches, but they will be shown on the Scottish FA`s YouTube channel dedicated to the national side.
It follows the same arrangement as the matches in October with the loss to Croatia and draw with Portugal attracting more than 1.5m views combined on YouTube.
Steve Clarke`s side host Croatia at Hampden on Friday before finishing their campaign away to Poland on Monday (both 19:45 GMT).

Doak looks an extremely promising player at 19. He’s gave Gvardiol a torrid time. If he adds real end product to his game he’ll be one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe I think.

Was there with the kids so wouldn`t know. Unlike the last time where, after I ducked out at half time, came back to a screen that looked like it had been animated by kids with crayons. Big TV wasn`t enough for the youngest, he also wanted to watch it on his phone thus halving our bandwidth.

After an extremely shaky start we got into the game, the sending off then helped further. One thing I was really impressed by was the Croatian players ability to find space in our box. We managed to stop them getting many shots away but the fact they had 4 players in the box knocking it between each other was really impressive, while we are often rushed.
Some of Gilmours forward passing last night was beautiful, perfect weight and direction, helped obviously by the extra space he found post sending off.
I was sent a highlights reel this morning of Ben Doak - Gvardiol will be having nightmares about playing him in future!

Once Ben doak started taking on guardiol instead of passing inside or being blocked by Ralston on the under lap you could sense inside the stadium that it was only a matter of time until we grabbed a goal.
Not the best performances but when you`re without a win in 16 you take what you can get. I thought modric at 38 showed the class he possesses.

This game is exactly where you should see Dykes strengths. Strong, win headers, occupy the centre halves and make space for the better players around him.
Conway isn`t ready for that role yet. But he will come on and get his chance again.

I understand what you’re saying but I don’t really agree.
Conway didn’t really do enough against Croatia. He’s still one for the future though and even though Dykes has had his injury troubles this season, he’s proven himself worthy in the past. We really missed him at the Euros.

It’s gutting that Portugal played their 2nd string and failed to win but we done our job and impressed in a difficult group. Great to see Robertson get the winner, who I thought was wasteful today but showed up when it really mattered! Centre backs were excellent too.
On another note, what a result from San Marino! Promoted from their group after beating Liechtenstein 3-1 away from home!

This. Not many teams can go the distance in a game like that and find enough to win it. I`d say Poland settled for a draw with a few minutes left knowing that guaranteed 3rd place. We needed another goal and for once we got it.
The cross from Soutar was absolute perfection and Robertson finished it brilliantly, ironically I`d been giving him pelters for his crossing and set pieces.
7 points from 3 games is decent and we could easily have had at least a couple of extra points in the first 3 fixtures.
Promising.

That was surreal. Scotland had more possession, more shots on target and more corners - away from home against a team 20 places above us in the FIFA rankings! For the winning goal to come in added time with a header from our left back from a cross by a centre back was the icing on the cake. Let`s hope it counts for something!

Great result tonight.
Kept possession really well after the early goal which was great to see,
midfield were so comfortable on the ball under pressure and great we now have Doak in there as an outball to run at teams and stretch them.
Hickey and Ferguson should be back soon too so thats a big plus. Just a decent centre
forward away from having a right good team, and thats not a dig at Dykes as he`s the best we have for that role currently in the system Clarke plays.

I THINK, but don’t quote me on it TAFKA, that Hickey is out for the season again mate. Other than MOTD and WBA games, I don’t really follow English football, but there was definitely an interview with Thomas Franks where he said that Hickey had suffered a set back in his recovery, it wasn’t good and that it looked to be season ending sadly. Sure it was about September I saw it. I haven’t seen or heard anything since.

Agree. He was good otherwise but it killed our threat a few times.
It will be interesting to see what happens when Tierney is back. With Clarke now playing a back 4 he might need to play in front of Robertson, or as an out and out centre half, rather than the left of a back 3.
In time is it worth trying McTominay in the Dykes role? It seems less mental than playing him at centre half...we seem to have lots of very good midfielders, and a couple coming through so might allow us to play more of our better players.
Suddenly there are lots of options!

Good game and good performance.Still thought we conceded a lot of chances and if Lewandowski was there he would have buried one or two. We looked more composed on the ball in tight areas than we have previously and played some good stuff though.I was pleased that we continued to show attacking intent after taking the lead and we`re unlucky not to add to it in the 1st half especially.

There are some weird highlights out there! One set from Footballduck(?) looked like they were edited with garden shears and those from Inside Football looked like they were filmed by a guy in the crowd using his phone and showed the final whistle before the winning goal! There are decent ones on Youtube based on last night`s coverage though.

It will be interesting to see what happens when Tierney is back. With Clarke now playing a back 4 he might need to play in front of Robertson, or as an out and out centre half, rather than the left of a back 3.
I’m sure “I’ll deal with it when it comes to it” will be in Clarke’s mind, however I wonder if the answer is Strachan’s solution of playing KT in at Right Back. Keeps a back 4, with Hickey not set to return any time soon then is KT a better option in there to Ralston or Devlin…,possibly.
I think KT needs to be playing himself before any decision is made. Someone who follows it better than me will know, but is he injured still or now just out of favour at Arsenal??

Really entertaining game, ball retention seemed to play second fiddle to getting up the park which was great. Mcgregor really isn`t missed and I hope we can find a way to fit Ferguson in there without stifling him. It really has shown the insanity of how he set the team up at the Euros.

2 wins against teams much further up the rankings than us, plus a draw v 7th place.
We must have jumped a fair bit in the FIFA rankings. We were 51st.
Update is 22 Nov, I think.
Or is it 28th Nov. Last update was 22nd Oct, so the Portugal game has been included.

Absolutely fantastic game , must be one of our most attacking away displays, if only the same type of entertainment at EEP.
Still playoffs to come , no one will want to draw Scotland now.

It’s ridiculous that we are pot 3 when we were competing against more superior teams in Group A. Slovakia were in Group C, which resulted in them playing much weaker teams and becoming a pot 2 team for the World Cup draw and having a playoff spot for the World Cup already. San Marino could well end up in the playoffs for the World Cup because they won their group! It seems like we’re the only team that has been punished purely for trying to better ourselves and playing tougher opponents. Before the nations league took place, I thought being a group A team would guarantee us a playoff spot and at least be pot 2. Portugal taking a weakened team to Croatia has cost us dearly.

When the Nations League started I thought there was a chance a middle of the road team like ourselves could end up being victims of our own success. It`s good to be in the top section but it does mean the probability of losing more games, dropping down the rankings, lower qualification seedings and no chance of that fall-back play off place.
Wales were lucky last time around. They stank the top tier out yet still got a play off as every other team qualified through the normal process meaning they had to get it. At least they got pumped 😂

It does seem a bit off with us competing for Pot 1 one minute but ending up in 3. What happened to 2?
At the start of Monday`s game we needed us and Portugal to win with a 3 goal swing. But, when we were 1-1 and Portugal were winning I`m sure they said that 2-1 for us would now be enough due to goals scored.
So, if that`s true, Croatia`s equaliser bumped us down two pots.
Edit: just remembered. It wouldn't have been on goals scored, that would have been level. It would have been on, I think, the ninth tie-breaker criterion, whatever that might have been.

although we are pot 3 our playoff game in march means we will be in a 4 team pot for WCQ. Due to restrcitions etc we are limited who we can play. This is the view from the brilliant team behind the "scotlands coefficient" X page.
LOTS of travel excitement to be had from pot 4 so will start getting ready to go to cyprus for the 3rd time in 5 years.

Even with some of the best informed minds on dafc.net, there is still some residual confusion regarding pots and groups, goals scored, goals against, World Cup and Euros standings. The ordinary punter would need a masters degree on EUFA rules and regulations to get their head round all of the permutations, and the average Scotland supporter, although maybe more savvy than in previous generations, might just give up trying, which takes away some of the enjoyment, if you can`t register what your team`s playing for.

Interesting that we have played some of Europe’s biggest nations, and yet our biggest attendance was against Georgia.
As a Hampden regular since the days of Craig Brown, I must admit to enjoying the Nations League more than friendlies. What I would say though, it’s not right what has happened with us being a Pot 3 team, so other adjustments should be made imho.

Scotland are murder at friendlies as demonstrated with the pre Euro ones, the Nations league has been a massive upgrade. Also do not forget we got to Euro 2020 via the back door of the Nations League.
Fans only really need to know who is in their qualifying groups, fully understanding coefficient calculations isn’t essential to enjoyment of the game and the leagues have a clear objective of being at as high a level as you can be.

I agree about the bemusement of this years one - don’t know why they changed the 3rd place/2nd place stipulations to add in more play offs, which has now confused everyone, and then World Cup groups are smaller with less teams in them. Then you need to try work out who plays who in play offs etc post qualifiers etc etc its a bit of a mess.

Still used it for qualifying for the first which was my original point. It`s also got easier to qualify for these tournaments due to the inclusion of more teams in the finals stage. As someone who goes to Scotland games home and away I honestly couldn`t care how we qualify but it`s worth remembering the nations league helped us remove that rather large monkey off the back. Calling them glorified friendlies is a bit of a strange remark considering we were one of the first counties to benefit from it.

Scotland will meet Greece in a Nations League play-off in March.
Having finished third in their A group, Steve Clarke`s side must beat the B group runner-up to remain in the top tier of the competition.
The matches will be played on 20 and 23 March, with the second leg at Hampden.
Scotland finished with wins at home to Croatia and away to Poland to end their first campaign at A level on seven points.
Greece were second behind England on goal difference in Group B2, taking 15 points from their six matches, which included a 2-1 victory at Wembley.
The Greeks, managed by Ivan Jovanovic, are 42nd in the Fifa rankings, nine places above Scotland.
Scotland and Greece have only ever met in Euro 96 qualifying, with both winning their home matches 1-0.

Tierney on the bench as Arsenal cruising past West Ham, wonder if he will get on?🤔
