Morton away and Falkirk at home. These are two games we can win. It would certainly bring some festive cheer into our fans if we did win both games. Morton are in the bottom 3 worst teams I`ve seen so far and our last game with Falkirk was very close. Their confidence must have been dashed slightly by the 5-2 result at Ayr. I know it`s a very long time since we won two games on the trot, in the league but why not start now. The players must know the long suffering fans need a boost so that would be a great Christmas present.

You could almost argue the case for a win on Saturday given we`ve sh1tfested it through there fairly recently and they`re also terrible. However I reckon there`s next to no chance of us getting anything other than a doing on the 27th.

We could win them...could also lose them
Our away record of crap and Falkirk are league leaders and beaten us twice already this season
Hope the lads can do it, but not confident. Season is half way through and think pattern is established, we are where we are and it prob won`t changeunless we get some new bodies in Jan or change manager

Paralex can I get some of what your on
On a serious note all games are winnable, but only if you turn up and put the effort in !
Morton should be winnable game as they are crap like us , might be down to whoever scores first , as for Falkirk we are due a win against them so hoping we turn up on the day and they play rank and I would take one of their players getting sent off after 8 mins like the recent game Against Ayr

We certainly will not win the next 2 games if
we play the same way as we did on Saturday last.
We must start playing with attacking football at a
high tempo. Is does not matter if we lose 2 goals
as long as we can score 3 or more.

I had a ticket for the Falkirk game - not anymore. That on Saturday was enough for me to jack it in this season. Thats how distant I feel from the club these days.

I would like to think we can win both games , my biggest worry would be as it has been all season , where do the goals come from? we are a team full of negative players who are more used to going towards their own keeper than the
oppositions, we need a high press right from the start to get the fans behind the team . COYP

I’m extremely pessimistic after that display at Stark’s Park on Saturday.
It was so deflating the lack of fight we showed.
I can take a defeat but not so meekly in a Fife Derby.
Some of these players need to man up and take responsibility on the park.

Never give up the hope. Cappielow is an easy distance for me, and although not impressed by our performance last week, I`m determined to make the journey. This one will certainly be close but I do think we can shade it. The Falkirk televised game reminds me of the excellent victory against Dundee Utd on tv last season. Admittedly we need a few things to go for us on the day, but we can win it.

I hate being negative but something tells me we will lose 3-0 to Morton. Not an away win since March and performances seem be getting worse. I pray you will come back and tell me how wrong I was.
Honestly think we have more chance of getting something from Falkirk!

…and here is the post match interview with McPake
Well both teams needed the points so it was always going to be a drab affair. The 2 goals in the first half were poor goals to lose and look I’m not one for criticising the referee but looked a soft penalty in the 2nd half.
Won’t be any mention that we only had 3 shots at goal nor we have gone 9 months without an away win!

I think we can win both games. We have better players than Morton, the manager needs to let them get at the opposition rather than making them drive with the brakes on.
Again Falkirk, an evening game, on the telly. We are good in those games, 3-0 v Livi, 2-0 v Raith, 3-1 v Dundee Utd, 3-1 v Partick. Bring it on

9 months without an away win, Morton not enjoying a great spell either, maybe last week was rock bottom adds up to a Pars win.
Let’s hope some straight talking among the players and management about pride, fan expectations and fight. With much more positive tactics.

That would be fine with me, by the time the game is rescheduled next year, we`ll likely be under the Fenway Group and have a side packed with starlets busting a gut to prove they are up to a move to the English Premiership

Law of averages suggests we could get a few breaks and win the game and the bookies who are rarely wrong have us marginal favourites.
Falkirk a different kettle of fish, they got a guy very harshly sent off at Ayr (since been rescinded) so unless they get a guy sent off early can’t see anything but a doing, falkirk better than us all over the park so even on an off day they should still have enough against us are we rarely have a good full 90 minutes.
As ever with our side with very few leaders in it the first goal is all important.
I think we’ll get a point at Morton and nothing from Falkirk. Just hope airdrie don’t pick a win in the next 2 games.

Thread being retitled, "we can win the next game". With a possible, some may say, probable retitle after Friday. Aye it was fairly predictable after we failed to score when we had the early pressure. We also had a dead cert opportunity at the end of the first half where a slight amount of composure would have given us the equaliser. But Tobi let in a howler one minute into the second half, heads went down and Wotherspoon imploded. At one down we had the chance of a draw, at two down with ten men, Morton were never going to let that slip. We seem to lack players with good close control at vital moments. Lewis McCann isn`t fast enough or good enough with the ball at his feet to lead the line. We need someone who is but sadly they don`t grow on trees. That turned out to be a dismal day out. I feel sorry for the fans who had to trudge back to Fife after that.

If players are continuously poor and found lacking at this level you know what that means…….they will take you to the level they can play at.

No problem Busspass, I can take the flak, ex centre forward after all, with the bruised legs to prove it, and with more than a smidgeon of the "weearrapeeppell" Glaswegian in my veins and still with an outside chance of a win on Friday. But I did witness last week and today that the lads on the pitch didn`t share my optimism or confidence. Apart from a couple of recent home games and the last game at Airdrie, we have fallen back into the pattern of losing the first goal and never looking like recovering from that. But be assured, if I was a gambling man I wouldn`t be punting on a home win this Friday but looking at the situation now, even if we did win, the chasing pack is pulling away.
