Club Statement
Kelty Hearts FC can confirm that Michael Tidser will not be able to take his place in the dugout for this weekend’s William Hill League 1 fixture against Montrose.
Thomas O’Ware will be in charge of the team and has our full support.

There’s so much going on right now but with nothing official coming out of the club we’re just going to have to keep guessing.

I think the landscape of our club will look very different this time next week.
I`m not looking too much into the poker player stuff, that seems to be freaking folk out. There seems to be a decent pedigree to some of the other investors.

We thought there was decent pedigree in our current investors.
The takeover worries me a lot.
Michael Tidser I think could prove to be a good appointment however, young, majority of his experience has been in our league albeit as a player and whilst limited managerial experience he’s done well and will be super eager to impress and progress which is what you want really.
Kelty rightly may be playing hardball on a fee and they are in a strong position as they know how desperate we are at the moment but ultimately Kelty are going to lose him one way or the other so you’d hope they won’t stand in his way.

These guys must have a bit of cash to buy 30% of a Spanish 2nd tier side with average crowds to 15,500. That would be the equivalent of buying into a Hearts or in England, QPR or something of that size.
I know they have not been in the game long but there must be money there to progress a club like us.

Agree. They`ve said what they need to - McLaughlin will be in charge over the weekend.
It`s not like Cook can come out with "The boys at Kelty are trying to do us for more than we want to pay so we`re gonnae tell them it`s our final offer and they better accept or I`ll go up and pan in the windaes at New Central Park and raid their pie shed...again."
I also wouldn`t worry about who the investors are. The current lot looked pretty spectacular on paper but were incredibly uninspiring.

Never understood the age thing when it comes to a manager.
If he gets the players to run through walls for him, his numbers are irrelevant.
He’ll certainly get every chance with me.

Cordobas main investors are from Bahrain, so Id imagine theres a fair bit of cash flow there from that side of it.

Do we know who Tidser will have as his No2? Is he going to be manager or head coach? Sports science playing a big part of who is playing with the new investors being more involved.

Andybird with possibly one of the most negative comments on here in a while. The new manager isn`t even officially announced yet and you`re saying stuff like that. Get a grip of yourself.
Also, that`s the first comment I`ve ever seen from you. New account? Or maybe I`m just to apathetic about this forum to notice.

Those games against Raith and Morton who were around about us in the league and we gave away 6 points with barely a whimper.

McLaughlin won’t be appointed nor likely to want the post as Manager.
He is an excellent coach, he gets his kicks on the training field coaching the lads and thought he nailed it this week, excellent performance and game management.
Theres more to a managers role than coaching though, the additional accountability, working with the transfer market and all the other unseen admin that will come with being a manager I can’t see him wanting to be embroiled in long term, he said himself it’s been hectic and 24/7.
I’d love to have him more involved in the first team though as a coach alongside Tidser, posters have said they are worried about the inexperience with him, having someone like McLaughlin would certainly help him.

I listened to McLaughlin interview last night (6 minutes!) and was impressed how in depth he was, so obviously he has identified our strong and weak points, worked on them, and critically tried to work out a way to to get the ball quickly from defence towards the goal.
Tidser will do similar. I`m sure we will lose games, but if we didn`t start winning games (and scoring) we would be goosed fast.
We are back in the game.

Long time ago now but i wonder if he was at Celtic when Tidser was coming through as a youth player and they`ve worked together before?
Also, is McDonald still registered as a player? Vaguely remember he had a very serious illness a few years ago but if he`s still able to play he would stroll it at this level.
