Just in case anyone has missed it (I nearly did!) the first leg of the English League Cup semi-final is on ITV tonight with an 8 pm kick-off.

Fabulous result. Shouldn`t have to wait a month for the second leg though. If you`re going to have a 2 leg affair then it should be played over a week, a fortnight at most. A month long wait is ridiculous.
If any of the Cartel want to sign Isak, they better be ready to cough up 200 million.

Arsenal were so slow and plodding whereas Newcastle attacked with pace and power.
Obviously rumours that Arsenal are wanting to buy Isak and you can see why. They just never really convince me that they are going to score.

Every time I watch Declan Rice he slows the game down to walking pace, probably because he can`t sprint. Seems like a decent pro but really over-rated imo.

Only Liverpool and Spurs have scored more goals in the League than Arsenal. They`ve scored 39 in 20 games which is 5 more than Newcastle. Arteta attributed their poor finishing last night to playing with a different make of ball in the League Cup but it didn`t stop them in earlier rounds. Havertz should have converted that header even if they`d been playing with a beach ball!

Must just be when I watch them. He went clean through at one point but didn`t have the pace to go and get a decent shot away-the commentator made a comment about his lack of pace at the time.He then took about 2 minutes to take a corner and fired it straight out the park, although I realise his delivery is normally decent. I just think he is awfully slow for a £100million player even though he is technically decent and puts a shift in.
