The "other Ronaldo" was more like a Sumo wrestler by the time he was 40, widders.
CR7 has kept himself in amazing nick to be still able to play at such a high level. We`ve had a few goalies still playing at 40, but outfield 40 year olds are extremely rare.
Eta. You shouldn't let your dislike of Man U, or his personality, cloud your judgement. He's been a fantastic footballer and his fanatical dedication to health and fitness has enabled him to have such a long and rewarding career. I'll need to try and get him along to some of the Pars school visits. đ

What a striker when he was fit though.
In fact I seem to recall a world cup when he was far from fit and carrying a lot of weight and he was still banging in the goals.
My dislike of man u is well documented on here (I am a Liverpool fan so it`s normal) but that`s not the reason for my post.
I just think that in his prime the original Ronaldo was a great striker.
The other Ronaldo (CR7) is great too don`t get me wrong ... Just not my cup of tea really....I prefer Messi if we`re talking current players.
How long was Ronaldo at Man u ?
Did he not leave then come back again or am I havering?
I remember when man u were a great team ... Long time ago now though....

I would hope they`re not discussing "consent" in primary schools, Rusty. Sometimes, talking about a subject can have the opposite effect to the desired one. Some years ago, in the Netherlands, 500 11 year olds were given a lecture about the dangers of smoking tobacco. 5 years later, they were surveyed. Unfortunately, there were more smokers among those kids than there were in the control group. âšī¸

Sorry, I find that an incredible statement. We must be talking about consent, at an including to what rights they have over their own bodies.
SA is a major problem that has consistently not be addressed by society. If we don`t talk about it, it will continue. And children are well aware of sex as they get towards the end of primary school and get lessons in it, consent must be part of that conversation.

Not incredible in the context I outlined in the example, pars4life. Of course SE is covered in primary schools now. In my day, we only got as far as frogs in secondary school. đ It should be mentioned in the passing, but over emphasising it could produce the opposite effect, human nature being what it is. The forbidden fruit and all that....
Not your average Sunday League player.
