The good thing about him is he can go right or left. As MT said after the game he just needs to work on his final ball.

Contract at Rangers expires in summer. Sure he will have plenty of offers.

But we will be in the driving seat, should he enjoy his time here.

Surely the club in the driving seat will be the one willing to offer the best deal to the player ?

You’d like the think the new owners would like to keep him and offer him a competitive offer.

Assume rangers will offer him a deal in order to ensure compensation?
Doesnt mean he won’t move on tho

Noticed he took up some great positions wide right in second half only to (what appeared to be) move back to centre of pitch amongst the rest of players. I was thinking finally a wide player using the width of the pitch and an easy out ball. Apparently not and playing in a quarter of the pitch ensued.

Depends on his motivation. Maybe money isn’t the be all and end all for him at this stage of his career?

Noticed Rangers got him for Wimbledon & he is only been there two seasons. So compensation will be pretty low. I’m sure the compensation values are already pre-determined, but I’ve not got time to find them just now.
Tobi the GK contract at Celtic is also up at the end of this season too.

He’d be worth a punt to imo otherwise it’s back to popadom hands in goals sure he’s still got another year left on his contract with us?

Id hope we can get him on a 2 or 3 year deal he is still raw but you can see there is talent there. Although I don`t think we will be the only interested party, players come and players go if we keep him great if not I trust our network to get a suitable replacement considering the talent they found in the January window.

Not seen Tobi as often as others, every time I have though he doesn`t fill me with confidence.
Maybe seen him 6 or 7 times this season and doesn`t seem great at demanding an area or sometimes just general ball judgement when it`s in the air.

I`ve said that maybe Mehmet should be back in goals I think he`s a better shot stopper than Tobi.
Not sure if Mehmet experience could help as well.

I also believe Deniz should be back. He`s better than a lot of people give him credit for and we have also improved the defence.

Mehmet back seems a crazy call to me. Especially when we play out from the back. Recipe for disaster.

Yeah it sure how Mehmet seems to have got better by not playing?
Mehmet looked a bit shot mentally and suffering from a lack of confidence before he was dropped, sure he’ll be our reserve goalkeeper next year when he really should be playing.
Agree on tobi, started off well and can kick it a mile but suspect at crosses and has now made quite a few errors which young keepers tend to do I guess.

A hint of re writing history with Mehmet here. A good shot stopper? Yeah. Not great with his feet. Non existent at crosses. Glued to his line.
Tobi is an upgrade in every way in that sense albeit he is suspect at times but his ceiling is far higher and to hold his own as a goalie at his age in the championship is a good sign.
Mehmet I think allows mistakes/crowd affect him too much which at his age and stage should be a hurdle he`s long passed as a professional goalie. Resilliance is easily the most important quality to have in that position and he doesn`t have it.
It was my biggest criticism of Mcpake giving deals to these guys and I said it at the time Mehmet getting three years and reportedly one of our highest earners was incredibly naive. Yes he broke club records and had a good season but Bene was easily the biggest catalyst for us in that area and Mehmet faced about 3 shots a game.
