This man is doing a fantastic job in identifying and securing up and coming youngsters from South of the border. The owners place their absolute faith in him and so far so good with a much better feel about the club

Don`t think he`s identifying. He is a big part of negotiating though.
ICT seemed to be happy with him as part of the young right back signing, but maybe we gave them too good deal? Who knows.
Data analysis system from Bord`s company is identifying.

Think it’s a bit early to label anything fantastic, yet to see anything really stand-out, not to say that won’t come as they settle.
Reserve judgement for now!

I’d sayMullen has been nothing short of fantastic personally. He’s an absolute gem of a find.

Agree about Mullen, the position we will be in next season will be the time to judge if John Colquhoun and owners have done a good job.

Will be interesting to see if he gets officially appointed to a sporting director or director of football role at the club, or whether he is going to be a football consultant for the ownership group. In the spirit of transparency and openness, it really should have been mentioned by now, as should the answer to who is paying him for his input.

in fairness...they bought the club so can do what they want with it and employ who they want and no requirement to tell anyone anything.

In the spirit of commercially sensitive information and of running a company which is over 99% owned, it`s nobody else`s business.

I have noticed that our “Chief Scout who doesn’t Scout” hasn’t been on the bench since the takeover! Has Colquhoun taken his job?, has he decided to start scouting? Or has he been punted?

While the latter quotes are technically correct, Kelty Par makes a fair point. In any business, it`s vital to keep your customers onside, rather than risk alienating them, by pursuing a strategy that seemingly excludes them. I really can`t see what`s wrong with making an announcement to the effect that DAFC has recently appointed Joe Blogs to the post of DoF or similar, as long as this has actually happened.
It may be that no such appointment has been made, which would explain why no announcement has been forthcoming.
Not your average Sunday League player.

Do you mean our Chief scout and first team operations co-ordinator?
I`ve heard he`s to blame for the state of the pitch too. Pulling skids on his BMX to impress KRH.

What is Dunfermline Athletic? What gives it value? Are the <1% other owners due any explanation?

Our scout was in the director seating vs Livi so no, still not at other games, but does not seem to be on the pitch anymore.

It might not be anyone else`s business (except sports clubs are businesses with a particular model which demands a certain kind of openness) and it might be commercial sensitive (how? How is naming someone commercially sensitive?) but every other club I can think of who has a sporting director/director of football have named them. Some of them are quite well known in their own right (e.g. Monci) and they are even in Football Manager!
