That job has James McPake written all over it.
We know how much he rates Brian Graham.

Not sure what the expectation of championship fans and boards are nowadays, not everyone will be promoted .

Tbf they are the best of the rest at the moment and still in a playoff spot.
Does seem a bit crazy to sack a manager, possibly internal issues, players not playing for him etc….

It would be good to see McPake get the job and guide them up through the play-offs

I would imagine Brian Graham would fancy the job himself

Imagine the consternation that would generate among the usual suspects on this forum. 🤔 🤪
Bit of a long shot scenario all the same.

Kettlewell and Lennon both early favourites, probably both would be a good appointment in my opinion

Lennon will earn more doing punditry?
Ketttlewell is a good shout.

Kettlewell will only join if the fans don’t give him stick as his family wont attend if they do 🫢
Lennon would surely rather manage than do punditry?

If mcpake gets the gig they might just about be able to draw thier way to making the playoffs. Raith and Morton got on thier heels now though.
Not convinced they would go with mcpake, even if he was hamstrung by signings he still gave deals to players not good enough in this league and the football was dull and inneffective so I don’t think he could build a good championship outfit to compete near the top which I’m assuming is Patrick’s aim.
Of not if he did get the gig wouldn’t be surprised to see him take a few of our released players come the summer.

Mcpake never got a chance to pick his own players. The players he asked the board for he never got

I think getting 5k for punditry each game rather than managing is easier work.

Yeah, you`re not getting 5 grand to be a pundit on a Scottish game. Probably take a zero off that and you`re not far off. He does Five Live and stuff as well so he won`t be on bread and water quite yet mind.
Think with Doolan the performances haven`t been good for a while and their 4th place currently has more to do with how terrible the rest of the division is. They spent a decent amount in the summer and will have amongst the highest wage bills so would be expecting to be comfortable in the top 4, not looking nervously over their shoulders. Losing a combined 7-1 to the 2 Fife teams in recent weeks won`t have helped.

McPake couldn`t keep hens out of a close. Tactically inept and poor motivation skills. Patrick will appoint him at their peril

C’mon lesliepar, he picked a fair amount of them to stay before the season was finished in league 1 and to a man they have been poor.
He does relatively well with newly relegated teams who start off with decent squad but it’s falls apart and he’s rubbish when he has to strengthen the squad to make them better.
He’ll be doing very well to get a championship club. The fact he’s in with a shout at Partick tells you quite a lot about the quality of managers out there.

Absolutely no need for that, BOTN. I made a provocative post further up this thread to get a reaction. You descended into insults. We`re all Pars fans. Posts like that are one reason why some folk have stopped or rarely post on here anymore.
