What a strange sporting day - Arsenal lose at home, both of the Glasgow cheeks lose in the Premiership (when did that last happen, anybody know?) and Scotland lose at Twickenham courtesy of some, ahem, generous home refereeing.
But the statistic that caught my eye was in our match report...130 away fans!!! I understand and agree that football teams are in the divisions on merit, but I despair when clubs like QP are (sadly deservedly) above DAFC. Having said that, the 4500 or so overall attendance must have included around 1000 stay-away season ticket holders. And probably most who did attend felt shortchanged by the `entertainment` served up.
I was looking forward to the game yesterday, but came away not thinking I`ll be back for the Morton game. For someone who`s supported the Pars for nearly 60 years, including dreadful Wednesday nights at Stranraer (usually defeats) that is a horrible feeling.
Apologies for the random post, must be a Sunday...

My old man, who has been going since the sixties but has become a more casual fan over the last 20 years said to me yesterday at full time “I really don’t know if I can come back and watch this crap again”. The man who lured me in to this club and got me hooked by bringing me to watch Bert Patons pars side is done with tidser already.

4 league games. Is that all a manager gets these days?

I was led to believe Tidser liked attacking football.
There seems to be confusion between possession football and attacking football.
I`m not saying he should abandon his preferred style, but some of the passing around in our own half is getting us nowhere in terms of building attacks. I thought we went a bit more forward thinking in the second half and that was slightly better. We are still very poor in the opposing half. Lack ideas and creativity.

Tidser wasn`t my first choice and I thought it was a bad time for him to come in. And it was very dull yesterday.
However, you`ve got to back him till the end of the season, give him the a pre-season to work with his squad and assess how we`re going once 25/26 is properly up and running.
We`ve also got a win and two draws from the last three league games, so results are not disastrous.

If tidser has us finishing 8th or higher then yeah, he’s got to get another season. Maybe with a big turnover of squad and a load of his own players in, a full pre season, he will be able to implement his style of play in a way that works. It isn’t how I like to watch the game played but ultimately I’ll accept it if he can have us challenge for promotion to the premier playing it. Full time scores and league tables are all that matter really.
I find it bizarre he is putting his philosophy ahead of results now tho. Just get us through this season by making the best of what you have and play pep ball next year when you have the squad for it. He’s putting his preferred style of play above results and I feel it reeks of arrogance and is putting us at risk of relegation unnecessarily. If we finish in the relegation places playing this tippy tappy crap then I think he should go.

How do you know results would be better if we played a different style? Anyway, he has actually improved results since he came.

Does anyone remember the season under AJ where we made the play offs losing to Dundee utd?
Well in march that season we played Morton at home and drew 0-0, and yesterday`s game reminded me of it..we didn`t play badly, but just never created enough or took the wrong option too many times
But from that game, we did get on a run that got us into the top 4. Now I don`t for one minute expect us to get on a run that good, but what I`m hoping is, as per the time of that Morton game, the players gel more, qe build on a few clean sheets, and start something..hope history repeats itself.
My gut feeling right now is Accies midweek is gonna be another 0-0, but we will dig out a 1-0 or 2-1 v Morton

In hindsight, my initial post was overly pessimistic. I`ve no intention of changing my user name, Wee Eck, and am 100% behind the new owners, coaches and players. Sometimes, it`s just bloody hard !!!

Hard to be against Tidser when your not convinced he’s been behind all the players that have been brought in.
However it’s a results game, let’s see if the tippy happy stuff is still there if we’re a goal down with 20 mins to go….

There is no way Tidser has identified these players. Remember, his title is head coach.
