And so it begins again. Farmyard bogs barking at every passing car: it should be Kettlewell, it should be Davidson, it should be Murray, it should be McCabe etc., etc.
Posters on here are keen to criticise when they think the board has not done its homework and due diligence on a managerial appointment, but are happy to throw out names at random.

Even if it goes well with John as interim boss, I`d much rather we were taking our time and trying to avoid a lot of the names people mention. When we`ve gone abroad we had massive success with JC but awful with Stephen Kenny. We`ve also had mixed success with both experienced and inexperienced domestic managers.
Basically, the key is doing some proper analysis (ironic given the owners) and getting the right person.

John McLaughlan isn’t actually the interim boss though.
We don’t have an interim manager it says MacDonald, McLaughlan and Wotherspoon will take training on an interim basis.
This is a massive appointment coming up from the board, hopefully we hear in the next few days so the squad can prepare for Ayr.

But awful with Stephen Kenny.
I thought Kenny was unlucky, brought in some good talent to the team and had us playing pretty decent. (Especially compared to some of the performances we’ve seen in more recent years) & of course got us to a cup final after one of the hardest runs in every round along the way.

What a bizarre post. So fans are not supposed to give their tuppence worth on who the next manager could be?
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Good point. Makes you think there’s clearly someone in mind they want

It wouldn’t surprise me if they’ve already been working in the background over the last few weeks. They’ve obviously been watching the same as us and seen it’s not working.

Ahoy! - agreed. Bord was at the Falkirk game - probably gave Tidser the Raith game to pull it around. We all saw Tidsers body language once we were 1-0 down on Friday night.
What I find interesting is that Geordie is still at the club which suggests he might be a good coach - does Lanza John hold any clout to say that?
I don`t think we are keeping Geordie because of money

He’ll be away the minute the next manager comes in, it might be John has other commitments so they need another head to take training on occasions given there’s still reserve games on etc.
A lot of folk on here think John is our saviour, we might as well give him the chance. Then hopefully the new guy clears the decks and can build his own team.
IMO they downed tools to get Tidser out, they should also be away this summer.

Kenny got us relegated and almost got us relegated AGAIN. Had some good results but his tenure was awful. Not him solely to blame though. Plenty "injured" players who had no issue propping up the bar in Reilly`s (allegedly).

Been told by a guy on the Kelty staff that Geordie is the good one of the two……not sure how believable it is mind you.

From what I have heard about Geordie, he is well someone who is well-liked by all and meant to be a good coach. If he were to be dismissed, such an action would likely have occurred simultaneously with Tidser`s departure. Geordie has not handed in his resignation, indicating his desire to remain at the club. I anticipate that Kettlewell will be announced in the coming days.

I think that was the season where bonus for league matches were stopped and kept for cup ties.

Players downed tools. Their win bonuses were stopped except in the cup and probably only reinstated with a few games to go when surprise surprise, we started performing again in the league.
