Not sure if true or not... but a guy who works in east end park told me that lennon has been offered the job. The deal is he works for free till the end of the season. If he keeps us in championship he gets 40k. If we go down he gets 0...

Lennon will know his worth, he`s not going to risk coming to a relegation haunted club with the chance to have a drop on his CV for free, thar sounds a touch far fetched.
I don`t wanna go down like disco.

I certainly wouldny be doing it. I`m thinking it would be a wage as normal and a possible 40k bonus if we stay up

You probably won’t be far off it Lesliepartoo.
Could be something like he’ll be on a wage, big bonus for keeping us up and quite possibly an option of another year if it’s a success. Unless of course he is a short term option hence the big bonus. We may well be looking for someone else in the summer.
Time will tell.

I’m going to phone Colleen Rooney to ask where these leaks come from.
Personally I highly doubt any conversations held on managers salaries. If it is someone inside the club and it is true they should be fired. Simples.

The bonus is part of salary is how I read it. It is still gross misconduct.

Surely this should be Hercule Paro rather than Wagatha Christie?

Neil Lennon has agreed a deal to become the next manager of Dunfermline Athletic.
The former Celtic and Hibs boss will sign a short term deal until the end of the season as he aims to save the Pars from relegation to League One, with the view to a three year deal if he is successful.
Dunfermline find themselves second bottom of the Scottish Championship and managerless after Michael Tidser’s stint in charge was cut short after only 11 games.
Lennon has been out of work since a three month spell at Rapid București in August 2024.

I would hope that, if he keeps us up, he`d be interested in building a squad which would have a decent chance of promotion next season. OK, he`d probably want an eye-watering salary or at least a good basic with an excellent bonus based on final league position, but it would surely worth a punt?

He`s exactly the sort of character we need, a born winner. Hopefully he can instill some of that attitude into the players.
When you look at his successes as a manager it`s very impressive. With Celtic, 5 Scottish Premiership league titles, 4 Scottish Cups, 1 Scottish League Cup, Won the Championship with Hibs and got them into Europe the next year. Won the Cup in Cyprus with Omonia. I don`t think we can read too much into his short spell in Romania, can`t be easy working abroad and trying to get your idea across.
I`ve not looked into it, so may be wrong, but if he does take the reigns, I think he would be the most successful manager working in Scotland with regard to trophies won

I’m sure what happens after the end of the season, salaries, budget, length of deal has already been agreed, subject to us staying up.

If Lennon is being offered a significant bonus as widely reported…….I wonder how the players will feel…..assuming they are not on a bonus to keep us up or possibly even on a win bonus ?
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

I’d think with so many with one foot out the door it would be prudent to offer them a staying up bonus.

Lennon is as exciting an appointment that we’ve had since Calderwood. Everyone is talking about us as well so it’s creating a bit of a buzz.
He has experience at much higher level than Dunfermline and played at the highest level too.
Can’t imagine he’ll accept it if the analytics are not signing players he wants so will be interesting to see how that dynamic evolves.
Surely he’ll get us winning.

Tam McManus was very critical of Dunfermline saying it`s no surprise the club is where they are. He went on to talk about how mcpake said it wasn`t him signing players and agents were bringing players in etc and he said it will probably have been similar with Tidser.
c'mon the pars
