The day has come when we will know if the Pars are safely in the Championship next season or if things will rumble on till 9.30pm tomorrow?
I hope the points deduction is upheld as I don’t fancy going toe to toe with others in the playoffs………….. we don’t have the players or the bottle to survive that imo

Pretty sure I read that the Hamilton manager reckons they will find out between 5-7pm today.
You`d like to think they will get at least a 3 point penalty and that they won`t beat Falkirk in the final game of the season.

Imagine they aren’t expecting anything from it, probably raised the appeal with the hope they would get the 15pts back with the hearing being post season and taking effect next term.

A lot of Hamilton fans on P&B are saying it’s all a smoke screen to protect the board…..I suppose time will tell

not sure there are grounds for a 12 point penalty to be completley withdrawn/overtuned unless there is a MASSIVE error in the auditors investigations. Reduction possible but when it comes to non payment of players/staff that all needs to be properly documented and auditable. Players going on strike about non payment is an indication it did happen.

I think the 15 points reduction may be reduced slightly but won`t be overturned completely

Ideal scenario for us is 15 points reduced to 9, we remain safe and gives them a chance to finish 9th, and really ruin Falkirks Friday night.

I hope their 15 point reduction gets changed to 10. That won’t affect us and it will give Accies something to play for tomorrow.
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

If we match Queen Park result ,we cant be caught, pressure game for the players, Lennon may find out more about this bunch of players, and their ability to perform under pressure.

Caught by who? We are 35 points, 9th is 29 with 1 game left???? Hamilton will not get more than 10 points back

For Accies fans hoping for a quick outcome today, it is understood Hamilton`s appeal won`t be heard until at least late afternoon.

Could be overtaken by QP. Will still safe but we will want to finish 7th and take whatever financial benefits it brings over finishing 8th. £16k difference if it was the same as last season.
c'mon the pars

In that case it must be quite a short process you would think - a formality perhaps?

I wasn`t overly bothered until I saw the difference in prize money. 16k (although this was last season`s figure so maybe a bit more ) is a decent amount to add to the budget of next season.

Hamilton will be playing in Cumbernauld’s Broadwood Stadium next season (and ironically, Clyde will be playing in Hamilton)

Why would South Lanarkshire council build a stadium off their own back to hand to a club that can`t pay for it and would generate a very limited income? Particularly when there`s already an existing stadium and numerous council run training pitches available?

Can someone fix the link?
Interesting timing. Ground owners appear to be difficult to deal with and the way the statement’s phrased, shows the club in a responsible light….

The club are mere tennants of New Douglas Park and apparently the owner is charging exorbitant amounts to Hamilton to play there.
Having a council owned stadium (like F*lkirk) they wouldn’t have such a financial burden.

No wonder the likes of Hamilton get low crowds. Where’s the sense of community and togetherness when every games effectively an away game. No fans wall or legends of the club murals for them🙁

Difference is Brockville was demolished. If the council built another stadium they`d potentially be relying solely on income from Hamilton FC. Any other uses would presumably be in competition against NDP? There also aren`t suitable sites for a new stadium in Hamilton as far as I`m aware.
The issue for clubs like Hamilton are they have low crowds and that makes building a stadium that could also be used for other purposes challenging.
