Chalmers unfairly getting blamed for both goals last night. That might be the worst penalty decision I have ever seen. 1st goal was just typical of what we see every week where we are overloaded on the break as our players saunter back

We need to bring in a striker coach or at least someone who could help out even part time and work with strikers on situations, one on ones , runs to make space , set plays etc and try and work on general composure and awareness in front of goal. The number of times our players create chances and it’s either a snatched effort or poor connection is ridiculous. Even last night Otoo seemed to panic when faced with open goal

Negatives - Chalmers far too slow to get rid of the ball for the first goal. I think the keeper was a bit rash charging out when the ball is at that angle

Referee - shambolic pen decision how he has given that is beyond belief

Too many touch before taking a shot, a few times a first time shot was on but after 2-3 touches the chance is gone.

Positives -some good link up play and passing moves. KRH looks like he is getting back to the style of play that we got initially from him on loan.

Plenty of chances created

Apart from the 2 goals and the scramble the deniz makes a good save not many chances against us.

Hopefully Lennon has had a good enough look at the squad in both training and games to know what needs done in the summer. If we could get a squad of 11 Chris Kane style effort we`ll be doing well.

Yeah, I can put my hand up and say that, on reflection and with watching the highlights, my comments with regards to the penalty were unfair on him.

Different angle but when posting during/after a game, you can only go with what you see.

Wtf was the ref thinking about for the penalty, Chalmers clears the ball cleanly, ridiculous call.

Lennon - "neglect from the previous regime" - well said.

Chalmers loses possession in their half. That in itself should never lead to a goal. Chris Kane lost possession some 40 yards from goal that lead to the pen but he escapes criticism. It was never a pen. Joke. Looks like we played some decent stuff in patches but the usual toothless display up front. Don’t think it will take much to turn us into a force next season. There will probably be 7/8 new faces for next season, maybe more. We still have a clutch of decent players contracted for next season. Winning breeds confidence. If we can bring in a decent striker it two a left winger and a playmaker that is a level above what we currently have we will do well next season.
Just glad like everyone else that this miserable season is over and we survived on our own accord…just..

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

If Joe was playing left CB I don`t know what he was doing down the right in the lead-up to the goal. Sod`s law that he left a huge gap at the back which they exploited, albeit with what looked like a mishit pass to Moffat.

The ref seemed to decide to play on at the `penalty` then changed his mind. Did the assistant maybe have a word in his ear? After that we seemed to have the better of things but missed some glaring chances.

We definitely need pace down the flanks, creativity in midfield and at least one striker to complement Kane or replace him if he`s not fit. Andrew Tod might feature more next season.

That penalty decision is absolutely mad. Luckily for the ref it`s not a game anyone will care much about and it`ll be quickly forgotten, but that is up there with the worst decisions I have ever seen. Sometimes you can understand why a ref makes a certain decision even when it`s wrong but that is just a terrible decision with no mitigation. I don`t think anyone else in the ground saw a foul there and it wasn`t even one where you worry for a second that it might be given. Not even the slightest shout from players or crowd.

Thanks to all who have been involved in putting the highlights together over the season. I really value being able to see them and very much appreciate the time and effort that will have gone into it.

I agree with the manager`s comments.

Pars deserved to take something from the game. Penalty never a penalty. With the inevitable strengthening of the squad under Lennon, Pars should have a team near, or at the top, next season.

It seems Lennon staying on isn`t as nailed on I thought it was. He also said that Wanyama was excellent but loads of fans said he was rubbish, who do I believe?
That open goal miss was just the epitome of our season up front.

He didn`t say anything different from what he has said before about staying on - discussions are ongoing.

Sounded to me like it was all but confirmed that he’s staying.

He did say one thing that is maybe forgotten about when assessing the players. They`ve been taking instructions from three different managers - four if you include JMcL - over a 9 month period. That can`t be easy, especially when you also consider the uncertainty around the ownership of the club which hung over
everybody for the first half of the season.

No doubt a few of these players will be moving on soon and I for one wish them well wherever they end up.

Lennon does speak well and that comes from experience and confidence.
I’m pretty sure he’s staying. He will want assurances on his budget, ensuring he has the final say on players and a commitment to re-lay the pitch.
I would suggest these are the main points that the talks are about.

I`m hoping that when he goes for that meeting that the pitch is already being ripped up as it was halfway there at our last home game.

When NL said he was going to be `here next week to discuss things with the players` did that mean he is going to be speaking to them about who`s going and who`s staying - or is that reading too much into what he said?

I`m guessing it will be telling the players out of contract they are not offered a new one/offered a new one.

Reckon that conversation will probably happen next week. It gives the lads who aren`t staying a bit of notice. I’d imagine Lennon won`t be making any calls until his own future is sorted though. If he ends up leaving, you`d have to think it`ll be down to Dave Cook as CEO to make the final decision on behalf of the club?

c'mon the pars

All the out of contract players would most likely be offered the opportunity to stay and and trial under the new manager.
