Club approved to sell alcohol at upcoming Premier Sports Cup games
https://dafc.co.uk/dunfermline-athletic-granted-alcohol-licence-for-upcoming-premier-sports-cup-match/
Dunfermline Athletic is pleased to confirm that our home match against Stirling Albion in the Premier Sports Cup on Saturday 26 July 2025 (kick-off 3:00pm) has been granted an alcohol licence by Fife Council, allowing the sale of alcohol at the match.
Home supporters will be able to purchase alcohol in the Norrie McCathie Stand concourse only between 1:00pm and 2:45pm, with last orders 2.15pm. All sales will be conducted in accordance with licensing laws, and enhanced stewarding will be in place throughout the licensed period.
As part of the initiative, we will explore how responsibly managed alcohol sales may enhance the matchday experience in a safe and controlled environment.
Alcohol may not be consumed in view of the pitch, and will be restricted to clearly signed, secure areas.
We hope this initiative will add to the matchday experience for our fans, and thank you for supporting this initiative. We’ll provide more details closer to matchday.

I don`t usually sit there but may do that day!
It would be great to get some music on to liven it up a bit.

Excellent, I`m gonna get bladdered. I used to be able to work my way through 3 or, at a push, 4 pints during my lunch hour, wonder how many I can get through in 1 hr 15 mins

I`d say a target of 5 to 7 pints is achievable. But you`ll probably see more of the toilet 🚻 then the game 🎮 afterwards

If you`re quick you`ll have time to get to Legends/Charlie Ds for one final one.

I remember, in my pleuky youth, attending a game with a pal who liked a pre-match drink or 3. We had 4 pints in the Paragon (forerunner of Legends) from 2 - 3 pm. As you predict, Tenruh, I had multiple toilet visits. We drew 1-1 with Morton and I missed both the goals. 😔

Hopefully it’s the start of a common sense approach to alcohol in Scottish football stadiums.

Aye and some common sense from fans is overdue certainly in lower levels and lower risk games and increase revenue for the clubs
been to a few games down in the shire and whilst not drinking to usual excess made a difference getting a couple of bottles inside a ground instead of trying to get into some of the pubs
Ps as long as we don’t just have carling as a lager… 🍺

Just let everyone have a drink except Glasgow team games. Job done. Why should everyone else be punished because that pair can`t control themselves?

Think this is a good halfway house between having fanzones outside the stadium and a common sense one inside.
Hopefully in years to come they can do entertainment while punters have a pint such as a TV screen showing whatever football is on at the time.
I’ll miss out as I’m a ST holder in the NW but if they find some way to build an area outside of that I’m all in.

How progressive.
Well done and hope the people in the Norrie enjoy it. Long overdue to be fair. As long as the weather isn’t too hot and everyone falls asleep.

Good to see Scottish football moving out of the dark ages and into the modern day again.
Good idea to host it in the Norrie as well, higher class clientele and keeps it away from those North West heathens!

If fans are intending to drink they will do it beforehand regardless in pubs.
Maybe this way they head along to the ground earlier instead of the pubs.
Same result but the club gets money instead.

Good initiative but the statement says you can purchase drink up to 2.45 with last orders at 2.15. So which is it?

Seems quite plain to me. Last chance to buy at 2.15 but you must drink up before 2.45

I’m praying we can keep it Scottish. Maybe it’s just my own beliefs, but I would hope this move could go towards helping our own economy and companies……but yeah, regardless, stay clear of Carling 😂

Im guessing this will be done with a pop up bar at the NW end of the stand? 🤔 hopefully its with Tennents and Bellhaven and not Carling/Fosters and Guinness…..as said above, keep it Scottish.

Although I believe Ayr are selling Madri in their trial.

Will be the current drink suppliers who put money into the club by having the pouring rights and sponsorship, so Belhaven and Coors. They`ll be responsible for the creation of the pop up bar etc
For what it`s worth Belhaven owned by Green King so English, Tennents owned by C&C so Irish, Carling owned by Coors so American, Fosters owned by Heineken so Dutch. Unless you get a small independent brewery you won`t get Scottish as you put it.
All the breweries uses each other facilities in the production so you can`t even say exactly where its brewed.

Hope we can keep it and make it a regular fixture at EEP. Creates a proper atmosphere when it`s done right and not just for the big games. Hopefully folk can show a bit of self control and not ruin it for everyone. That said, wouldn’t be surprised if it all comes to an abrupt end when folk start chucking pyro or vapes at the Rovers players after a dodgy decision.

It`ll be cool, CammyGPT, all those wee Muppets go to the North West and so won`t be on the amber nectar
