Mason Finlay Munn (born 30 March 2006) is a Northern Irish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Rangers.
Early life
Munn is a native of Donaghadee, Northern Ireland.[2] He has been described as "one of the brightest young prospects in Great Britain... captured the attention of many well-known Premier League clubs with his exploits between the sticks, with Arsenal among his prospective suitors".[3]
Club career
As a youth player, Munn joined the youth academy of Northern Irish side Glentoran. In 2022, he joined the youth academy of Scottish side Rangers. He was described as "impressing in the Rangers B team after overcoming a bad injury when he first moved to Scotland".[4] He helped the club reach the 2024 Scottish Youth Cup final.[5]
He made his full Rangers competitive debut in a Scottish Cup fourth round tie at home to Fraserburgh on 19 January 2025 where the hosts won 5-0 and Munn kept a clean sheet.[6]
International career
Munn has represented Northern Ireland internationally at youth level.[citation needed]

Lennon has said he is looking to sign two goalkeepers. No doubt one will be an experienced keeper and the other a younger keeper.

Not a very enthusiastic signing prospect in all honesty.

I don`t think too many fans were enthused when Charlie Gilmour`s signing was announced. Anyway, this is only a rumour although Scott Burns is usually quite reliable.

Similar profile to Tobi, who proved to be more than good enough last season.

Tobi probably saw last season`s loan as an opportunity to put himself in the `shop window` and now he`s benefiting from that.

I honestly couldn’t give a hoop about where they’re from or any other nonsense. As a club, only results should count. We’ve got to be better in the league next season. It’s time for the team to do its bit, the loyal fans deserve it and I’m pretty certain it’ll bring more fans through the door. Success will breed success

What’s the point in getting a young loan goalkeeper in unless he’s going to be getting a game? To be honest if the option is there to bring him in and have Mehmet as number 1 to start the season I’d take it if it freed up wages for the creative players and striker we need more badly.
On another points rovers fans up in arms over thier new keeper who has not had a good preseason and cup, they want dabrowski back!
The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity!

Oluwayemi did have more first team experience in comparison, doesnt look like his trial in France has led to anything so maybe there is still a chance of a return.
not surprised Munn is on the list of options although how it would work if two keepers are signed alongside Mehmet would remain to be seen.

Tobi had only started 11 first team games before joining us. Not much difference. 14 if you include Celtic B starts.

Anyone remember the last young goalie we had on loan from Rangers? A certain Alan McGregor, he did ok and just happens to be Mason Munns coach at ibrox now.

The post match comments stated they were pleased DM came out for the ball. That`s been his weakness in my view, it's good to see. He didn`t put a foot wrong against Hamilton

Yeah Deniz has definitely improved a bit.
His biggest weakness was his inability to come out his 6 yard box but his shot stopping wasn’t really in question.
He saved two chances last night which could easily have found the net and he does seem to be more confident in the 18 yard area now.

Honestly if he fixed his commanding of the area, and maybe sharpened up on his passing i would happily have him 1st gk, ofc thats wishful thinking, he is clearly a very good shot stopper, but is held back by his funnily enough holding back on the line

McGregor had already had 8 league games for Rangers and a full season on loan at St Johnstone in the Championship before he joined us. He had also played for Scotland U21s by then too.
