Great news, both are pushing the first team, the older one injured at the moment, but he looked more than comfortable, the younger one looked excellent.

For such a young age, the mentality to push on and improve has been impressive.

Was expecting them to go on loan, but I`m not sure no, seems ready to kick on..

Two year deals according to COWS.

Not sure about million quid players but both look better than previous academy players at their age.

I think they both could become good first team players. Hopefully more.

It is a concern that Andrew has had a number of injuries for one so young. Let’s hope that’s the last of them?

Both impressed today. John looked solid, but passing at times was a bit lapse - not a criticism, just an observation. Andrew showed great composure for goal, and dig to win ball back for Kearney to cross for 4th.

Happy to have locked these 2 down for 2.5 years.

John Todd looks closest to making an impact in the first team but will be in and out this season, Andrew has plenty potential but a little off the standard required to play in attack for us this season.

If they can keep going they will both make a big impact next season

There`s an article in the Courier in which Keith Wright (ex-Hibs and Dundee striker) who is head coach at the SFA football academy at Broughton HS in Edinburgh is praising Andrew`s dedication and professionalism while he attended there for four years. He said he commuted from Kinross, usually by public transport, and wasn`t late once! He agreed with NL that he was a very versatile player.

I think they just have extra sessions outside normal school hours. It`s quite the commitment. My kids can wander along to school at 8/8:30 and be back by 4:30 at the latest. It must have taken Andrew some time getting to/from Kinross to Broughton each day. It`s around 40 minutes from Ferrytoll so probably an hour from Kinross.

My kids high school is one of the performance schools, the pupils on the programme have football related activities for 20% of their timetable and the other 80% is academic studies.

The students on the programme are often amongst the highest achievers academically as well, its open to applications from both boys and girls.

Is that another international weekend where multiple call-ups are likely to result in another postponement? It could suit us if Rudden is out for a few weeks.

Not going to lie Airdrie away on a dark Tuesday night is the stuff of nightmares so I hope it doesn’t effect the original game
