Think it`s best not to start counting any chickens. I tried not to do that at half time last night. This league continues to be ultra competitive. No foregone conclusions at all.

Think this will be a tough game tbh. They didn`t have a game this weekend so will be well rested whereas we bad a very demanding game on Friday. Add in the injury to Rudden, doubts over the fitness to Kane and others, and also the possible dent un confidence the goalkeeper may be feeling and this points to a proper battle. Hopefully we start the game well and we don`t have to fight our way into the match as we`ve done a few times so far this season (albeit mostly in away fixtures).

I read that they had three of their best players missing the first few games but they are all available now. Can’t remember their names. That might explain their poor start to the season…
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Looking forward to the game, as I was on Friday. Feels good not dreading the team sheet and guessing who the next player to be injured will be.
Enjoying watching Caceres settle in and wonder if Kane will start now that Rudden will likely drop out.

I was wondering if we will see a return of Connor Young in some way or is he injured. Good for us not being able to guess our line up as the last few seasons have been way too predictable. The nucleus is there but nice to see people can come in on their correct positions. Still have memories of Queens Park at Hampden when we were playing injured players because we were so short

Hopefully Kane is fit enough tomorrow to fill Rudden`s shoes. Not sure whether Young is injured but so far, looks like the leap in divisions is too much for him. If Rudden is out for a while, think we would benefit from a loan from somewhere.

I still don`t understand why C Young and Bray can`t even get in the matchday squad, nor why we are playing such a young loan keeper when we have two signed keepers.

It’s NL prerogative and the calls that he is getting paid to make mate. On a personal level, I can understand Young’s decision, he has been given an opportunity and has hardly set the heather on fire, whilst Andrew Tod and Rory MacLeod have, it’s only natural that NL will favour those 2 along with Sludden & Kane in front of him.
Bray is the stranger one, but it’s the cliche of the manager seeing him in training and deciding he has better options. Maybe he doesn’t see Bray as being ready for First Team football at this level and will monitor it with the Development Squad?? Bray has possibly been a victim of change in managers and systems, a bit like KRH, he’ll probably have to change his game to fit into the system….who knows??

Dempsey, Murphy and Dowds ( 12 months out with ACL) are all back in the squad after missing start of season.

All three were late subs in their last game against Ross County. Recent signings Bannigan and Thomas were unused subs.

Dont know why people think that 2 weeks off at the start of the season is a good thing for them….means 2 weeks without a game with only 8/9 full fixtures under their belts since the start of the league cup. Not ideal for them.

I think with a game on Saturday Lennon might start with Kane tonight with Tod. Both were subs on Friday.
Might sound bizarre given Mcloed scored but I think Lennon likes to keep things fresh knowing he’s got a strong bench no matter what.
