Nice to see that the club is allowing injured players to join the Pars TV commentary team. Tonight we have Zac Rudden. I would rather have him in our forward line, but this is a nice progressive move by the club on the communications side.

A very important win for a number of reasons. Great to see us stand up to them, even although they were generally more physical than us.
The second half subs were important as it gave the team some fresh energy as it looked like Raith could have grabbed an equaliser
Plenty of good performances, but I thought Gilmour was absolutely outstanding.

Really really enjoyed that tonight.
Players were clearly up for it right from kick off never allowing Raith to settle and we looked very promising in the first 25 minutes going forward.
Game got scrappy after that but bringing Kane on made the difference.
He kept their defence really busy and got a typical goal for his standards lol
Lots of pass marks.
Hamilton deserves immense credit tonight for his performance after being out so long but Gilmour absolutely bossed that game and was my MOM by a margin,
Very pleased to see Matty Todd getting back on form as well when he came on.

Our points tally hasn`t matched our performances, so it is nice to get a great derby win. Hopefully this result is the turning point for our season. Was such an important game for us tonight with a tough few games ahead.

Yeah I’d say what I saw tonight should be the defence going forward.
I get Bene is the club captain and puts in a shift but these guys look like a fixture for me.
Abdulai is very good and nothing much is getting past him AND he likes to push forward not sit back and the same goes for Mullen.

Last time at Stark`s I was disappointed that Hamilton wasn`t in the team as it seemed well set up for him. I was glad to see him start tonight and even happier to see him have an outstanding game. When you play 4-4-2, the two in midfield both need to play well, especially defensively, for the team to be coherent. We got that tonight.
It`s infuriated me that so often we seem so utterly soft and submissive so it`s a big plus to see a Pars team stand up for itself. Chris Hamilton was crucial in that, but it seemed to run through the team. We aren`t as good at it as teams like the Rovers as we`re just not well practiced at it, but great to see us finally make a start. You have to be competitive in there to allow the rest of the team to play and it`s the first time in a while I`ve thought that the midfield worked well.
Pretty comfortable win in the end. We weren`t brilliant but we didn`t need to be and certainly deserved to win. The Rovers were utterly dire in the first half, had a wee spell early in the second half when they were on top, but that was it. The closest they came to scoring was with a cross that hit the post. None of our players had a bad game and it was just one where we did the basics well and didn`t allow ourselves to be bullied. More of that would be braw.

Well done to the manager for his changes. He’s f*cked it a couple times this season but not tonight. We started very deep at the start of the second half and in years gone by we’ve seen it enough times to lose our lead to that.
The switch to the back three was seamless and got our foothold back in the game. Well done to all involved happy as Larry.
Also I’m liking the eastenders song on at full time.

I think Neil Lennon deserves huge credit. All the posts during the week about not looking forward to it (understandable given previous results) and then after the team was announced. Fair to say Neil Lennon was spot on with his decisions tonight. Subs during the game as well, made the right call at the right time.
Fair play to Barney Stewart as well. Great finish. He’s not exactly a good looking type of player but he gives 100%. He occupies the defence enough it makes space for others and he won his fair share of headers. He could be really useful for us going forward

I don’t think we should be dismissing Bene. It worked well tonight because the back line was defending higher up the pitch rather than on the 18yard box. It squashed the midfield and made it difficult for the wee team to create much. However we will need Bene this season. Horses for courses.

Most I`ve enjoyed watching the Pars in a long time. Looked fit, fast and aggressive. Brilliant football at times and you could tell from the goal celebrations the group love playing together.
I also liked the way Lennon was in the ear of every substitute or player near the touchline. Reminded me of the way Calderwood used to go around speaking to every player during the warm-up back in the day.
A lot to love about this Pars team and manager. COYP!

I think every player we have brought in has improved under NL and the management team. Collectively we are a much better team. Credit to them for getting us to where we currently are. Barney has come on, he is still raw but with the right development he will score goals. I also see an improvement in Bray, much more purposeful on the ball. A master stroke by NL to bring in Hammy and make him captain. What NL has been very good at in my view is rotating the squad to keep everyone involved, give them game time and first team experience. That may mean results are a little up and down, but it brings on a group of players and moves them one rung further up the ladder in terms of experience and performance improvement. Some have said RR didn`t play well but I would argue that we didn`t allow them to. A couple of times they had a bit more space than you would want but overall we limited them to very little. Terrel as the last man is also looking good. More assured, his kicking has improved and his positioning to make the save from the cross was spot on. I thought we always tried to move the ball forward, even if that meant we kicked longer. It kept the pressure on the defence and I thought Easton had to resort to dropping deeper where he was less effective. Frazer and Kearney are really coming on and JCM and Nuru look like they will be a solid partnership. Hats off to JCM for that run forward that created the opportunity for the second goal, and the cross was perfect from Frazer (I think). Kane still has it in his locker to put the ball in the net, and we will need that from him this season. Good to see him congratulating Barney at half time for the goal. It looks like the experienced players like Chris Kane and Bene are contributing more to the team than just on the park. That`s important
