First time posting here. I really felt on Saturday that the team were transformed by the introduction of Hammy. I get he was riled up by not getting on promptly but his passion was key to us getting back in to the game. Unsung hero.

I thought it was a mistake leaving him out, his dig was needed against a tough Saints midfield.
I don`t wanna go down like disco.

Got to agree. I think he has been quite a bit better than Amade recently.

I see a big difference in the “local lads” under NL. I think Hammy and co thought they were safe but NL has them realising they need to perform. Matty Todd seems to be stepping up. Hammy has definitely improved - I always thought Hammy had it in him though. He was central to Arbroath’s near promotion and at least in the first season back up (the injury season) he was always dependable. Player of the season, that season.

Not really fair, they`re two entirely different types of midfielder, with different roles.

He might have some limitations, but he`s certainly dug us out of a hole plenty times, certainly the last 2 seasons when everyone was injured, he`s covered all over the place.
There`s clearly still a big part for him to play, I wouldn`t think he will play all the time, but he can certainly give us the option when we need some dig.
It`s the same for Amade, he`s a different player, but he will also be crucial in plenty games.
I was glad Hammy was signed again, and I`m glad Matty Todd has stepped up, this is a big year for him.

Hamilton is a prime example of NL`s man management style working perfectly. When he was out of the team he was like a bear with a sore head (according to close sources 😏) So when he was given his chance again he was utterly raring to go. It`s like having a new player again. Matty is another example.
No-one is immune in this squad and for that reason I am loving the passion that has been reignited.

Hammy always worth a start due to his dig but also a yellow card victim!
