Travel to Foxboro is straightforward by train from Boston South station which goes
close to the stadium. Anyone going might consider staying in Providence and coming from other direction. Foxboro roughly halfway between the two.
Providence area might be cheaper than Boston for accommodation.
For trains to Gillette stadium go on the MBTA website.

Welcome to the US of A!
`Tourists from dozens of countries including the UK could be asked to provide a five-year social media history as a condition of entry to the United States, under a new proposal unveiled by American officials. The new condition would affect people from dozens of countries who are eligible to visit the US for 90 days without a visa, as long as they have filled out an Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) form.
Since returning to the White House in January, President Donald Trump has moved to toughen US borders more generally - citing national security as a key reason. Analysts say the new plan could pose an obstacle to potential visitors, or harm their digital rights. The US expects a major influx of foreign tourists next year, as it hosts the men`s football World Cup alongside Canada and Mexico, and for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.`

I applied for an ESTA 2 years ago and there’s a part on it that asks for your social media accounts so that part isn’t a new thing. It was pre Trumps second term but was wondering if it was his administration that brought it in during his first term.

According to the Beeb -
`The existing ESTA requires a comparatively limited amount of information from travellers, as well as a one-off payment of $40 (£30). It is accessible to citizens of about 40 countries - including the UK, Ireland, France, Australia and Japan - and allows them to visit the US multiple times during a two-year period.
As well as the collection of social media information, the new document proposes the gathering of an applicant`s telephone numbers and email addresses used over the last five and 10 years respectively, and more information about their family members.
The text cites an executive order from Trump in January, titled "Protecting the United States From Foreign Terrorists and Other National Security and Public Safety Threats".`

Haiti and Brazil games will be on the BBC and the Morocco game will be on ITV.
Will it be Jim Delahunt presenting the Morocco game?

Looks like you guessed the right answer to this question then!
4) Do you seek to engage in or have you ever engaged in terrorist activities, espionage, sabotage, or genocide?
Thats Trump fecked then. He could never pass that.

How can they prove or disprove if you have social media?
They could look up your name, but that’s not necessarily unique
I don’t use social media myself (unless this forum counts), but how would they know if that’s true or false?

The proposal is still only at the consultation stage, so may well be changed in the final version. But I reckon if you supply 5 years info about your telephone numbers, plus whatever info is asked for about your family, it won`t take long for an unholy trinity of the US Government, AI and Big Tech to discover if you`re telling the truth about social media.

Agree.
There was also talk yesterday of making your account private as a negative marker so I suspect a response of "I`ve never had any social media accounts" would be treated similarly.
Put your address down as Bletchley and you`ll be welcomed in with open arms.

got my ESTA approved the other day, the social media section stated it was optional. i left it blank and. there was nothing about old numbers or emails. and the only family info asked was the names of mother and father
Are they not planning to look at this social media Spanish Inquisition scenario before the WC next summer ? Not sure if they can introduce it retrospectively although I would want to be clear on that potential situation.

Football Supporters Europe is astonished by the extortionate ticket prices imposed by FIFA on the most dedicated supporters for next year’s FIFA World Cup.
In the price tables gradually and confidentially released by FIFA, tickets allocated to National Associations (PMA – Participating Member Association allocation), which typically distribute them via official supporters’ groups or loyalty programmes to their most devoted fans, are reaching astronomical levels. Based on the information currently available to FSE, if a supporter were to follow their team from the first match to the final through a PMA allocation, it would cost them a minimum of 6900 USD – nearly five times as much as during the FIFA WC 2022 in Qatar.
National team supporters are expected to pay this full amount in early 2026 to have the opportunity to follow their team up to the final.
Adding insult to injury, the lowest price category will not be available to the most dedicated supporters through their National Associations, as FIFA chose to reserve the scarce number of category 4 tickets to the general sales, subject to dynamic ticket pricing. This is a monumental betrayal of the tradition of the World Cup, ignoring the contribution of supporters to the spectacle it is.
For the first time in World Cup history, no consistent price will be offered across all group stage games. Instead, FIFA is introducing a variable pricing policy dependent on vague criteria such as the perceived attractiveness of the fixture. Fans of different national teams will therefore have to pay different prices for the same category at the same stage of the tournament, without any transparency on the pricing structure enforced by FIFA.
The bid document released in 2018 promised tickets priced as low as 21 USD. Where are these tickets now? The full way to the final, according to the same bid book, was supposed to cost 2242 USD in the cheapest category. This promise is long gone.
We call on FIFA to immediately halt PMA ticket sales, engage in a consultation with all impacted parties, and review ticket prices and category distribution until a solution that respects the tradition, universality, and cultural significance of the World Cup is found.

Ridiculous pricing structure.
Just seen the email from SFA and the prices aren`t even the same for both our games in the same stadium.
Hoping some Morocco tickets will filter down to 12 points 🤞🏼 but looks like it`ll be a top category ticket if so 😱
COME ON YE PARS!

Haiti v Scotland 973 $500 973 $400 1943 $180

Scotland v Brazil 934 $700 934 $500 1868 $265 .
allocations an prices for our games. getting the cheapest tickets for all 3 games still comes in at an eye watering £495. considering the euros was under £150 for 3 games

Got to admit, there would be no chance of me getting into America these days, for decades I`ve been less than complimentary about their war mongering ways in various countries around the world, and particularly of that imbecile Trump.
I`ve never really fancied going there anyway, even when offered free holidays at a family members home there, it looks rubbish

This is the first time Scotland has qualified for a world cup when I have been an adult with enough money to go.
At one stage I was ready to click buy on flights to Boston after getting excited reading about others doing the same, but then I remembered the sickening display at the draw.
Then I realised that they probably wouldn`t let me in anyway because there are donations to organisations that don`t actively worship Trump on my bank statement. I don`t use social media apart from this site, but I reckon if they found my posts here that would be enough for them.
I am definitely jealous of folk who are going, I imagine it will be an amazing experience no matter the results. Hopefully we qualify in 2030 so I can go to that one.

Breaking news -
`Fifa has introduced a small number of "more affordable" $60 (£45) tickets for the 2026 World Cup following criticism of its pricing structure for the tournament.
World football`s governing body says the new ticket price will be available to a certain number of "loyal fans" of the countries that have qualified for the World Cup.
More to follow.`
