It`s meant to be 5c with <10% chance of rain, very mild breeze. Probably about the best you could hope for for football in Scotland, in January.
No doubt at all.

All games are technically allocated seating. Just at most games you can generally sit where you want due to a large choice of empty seats, but as it`s likely to be a sellout/near sellout on Saturday, you won`t have that choice.

I don`t quite get why folk shouldn`t sit in their allocated seats for all games. If I have picked a seat to sit in and paid for it,I don`t want some privileged idiot deciding they can sit where they want when they turn up for the game.

Nice problem to have I suppose!
Despite some concerns mentioned about any Hibs fans buying home end tickets, they would be highly unlikely to sit in a seat they`ve not been allocated to, purely for fear of being spotted and ejected! It`s our own fans we`d be more likely to have this problem with 😂

Are they always privileged idiots, or might some of them be folk who, for example, don`t want to get into confrontation with the group of rowdy drunk lads who are sitting in their seats so they find a couple of empty seats and chance their arm?
Maybe they very much do want to get into the confrontation but they are with their kids or elderly relative.
Or they saw folk sitting in their allocated seats and, reasonably, assumed that it was sit anywhere since it often is?
Or they realise that they would be behaving like privileged idiots if they turn up five minutes before kick off and ask the people in their allocated seat to move, which could cause a 3,000 person game of musical chairs.

Well, if they moved when asked to do so, they clearly aren`t privileged idiots.
But then they are choosing to play their own game of musical chairs.
You can come up with as many random scenarios as you want.... how would you react if you went for a cup of tea or a single fish and someone was sitting in the seat you had just warmed up?

Obviously you’re entitled to sit in a seat you paid for but I totally get why fans try their luck especially in cup games where they buy tickets and want to sit with their friends but that option wasn’t available as bought separately.
These things usually work themselves out 99% of the time but could be a problem in a rarity of a near sellout at EEP

I sit where I want usually but if asked to move I move without a fuss as it is someone who’s paid for that seat. I just find another free seat. You find there’s plenty spare seats in NW even when sold out as all the young boys are about 3 to a seat and a fair few opt to stand up back also. I’ve got a season ticket in NW and never sat in that seat or at least not that i know of as no idea where it is.

Saturday is going to be really busy so it would make sense to sit in the seat you have a ticket for. Why create problems? It will make it so much easier if we all enter the ground, have a quick look at our seat number and sit there.
Remember this is going to be a well attended, televised match, let`s show everyone that at Dunfermline we have a really good support and can follow simple rules.

For me, kick-offs at EEP usually begin the next day. Saturday 3pm kick-offs are Sunday 2am here. Similarly, Friday night games kicking off at 7.45pm start on my Saturday morning at 6.45am.
But for once, the Hibs game will begin on a Saturday for me—11.30pm.
Oh, I can`t contain my excitement!

It is sit in your allocated seat on Saturday so no argument there.
There will be Hibees in the main stand home section, the area towards the Hibs section looks almost sold out, doubt many will venture to the Norrie or NW which could spark trouble.

So not only are you refusing to comply with the terms and conditions of your ticket, but you also assume you have the right to judge who is or isn`t worthy of attending based on if you recognise them or not?

You had a week to buy the seat you wanted before non season ticket holders could buy it, throwing your toys out the pram, getting territorial and entitled changes nothing, that seat is now someone else’s for this game. Hard Luck.

`you also assume you have the right to judge who is or isn`t worthy of attending`
Any fan is worthy to attend every week. If they choose not to and only turn up when the cameras are rolling or a big game is here then they should be expected to act as such and have enough humility to act respectfully of people who are, lets face it, better fans than they are.
`That`ll be funny when the ticket for that seat has been sold to a Mr A Blache`

Pars supporters had more than enough time to book whatever seat they wanted. If they were too late to book a specific seat when buying their ticket, that’s on them. Sitting in the seat shown on your ticket shouldn’t be a complicated instruction.
If Hibs fans buy tickets that home supporters didn’t purchase, what difference does it make? It brings more money into the club, which is a win. If they fail to comply with stadium rules, they can be ejected like any other supporter at any game at EEP.
Let’s hope these keyboard Karens don’t make themselves look incompetent over something so simple. Hopefully we’ll get a bumper crowd and, more importantly, a Dunfermline win.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.
