We can absolutely beat Aberdeen. They could also hammer us. We will have to play even better than the Hibs game and hope we have a good ref.

We can and we will.
This is the attitude that needs to be instilled in the team. They know they have done it before with Hibs, arguably a better side. NL needs to make the lads believe they can do it again.
The Dons are on a very bad string of form.
A full house at EEP should have everyone well and truly revved up. Can hardly wait for this one to get underway.

We can and we will. We all just need to believe. It’s a one off game and form generally goes out the window. We’re definitely cable of grinding out a victory. We just need to get stuck in and press them from the start. We never really lets Hibs settle into the game and they didn’t like it. Kane will get us to Hampden! COYP!!

its a cup game anything is possible. I don`t think we will need to be as good as we were against hibs to match them. It is the only thing left for aberdeen to play for this season which could up their performance. But with a big away following who are frustrated with this season so far a poor start could get them on the players backs.
I like the fact we have had 2 wins in a row to get the confidence going while their run has been terrible. They are conceding terrible goals which we can take full advantage of. Their new goalkeeper was injured for the last game so could be Mitov in goals which gives us a good advantage

They weren`t that much better than us in the cup last year, although they were clearly better than us.
Since then we`ve got better and I think they`ve got worse. Now we`re at home and we`ve finally strung 2-3 decent home results and performances together.
I think we can beat them. I hope we get at them, like we got at Hibs. I hope we can keep it tight, like we did with Hibs.
I don`t think we`ll win, but I know that we can and I hope that we might.

They are a good team if they turn up and if they do, we will need all our team to be on form or they will win.
The issue with Aberdeen is do they stick or twist. The number of goals they score is poor on away days. So will they try to sit in? If so that has not been good for us. My preference is the try to push forward, as I think that suits our style better.
My main worry is that, as with any higher league team is that when they get a chance they will more than likely take it. We were lucky in that respect with regard to Hibs. Hibs should have scored with their chances in the game at East End, but didn’t.
That for me will be the difference between the two teams.

Aberdeen has only won 4 games away from home all season, 3 of them finishing 1 nil. The other was a 3-1 win. They have only scored 10 away goals all season. So if we keep it tight we have a hell of a chance.

We certainly can beat them.
Whether we do is another matter.
We will need to be at our best and performances have been very inconsistent.
Also, games can turn on a deranged quiver of serendipity, a weird bounce, a slip….
It’s all to play for. Looking forward to it.

We can beat Aberdeen, beating Hibs provides the team with the confidence we can do it - if we’re on form.
I think it will really depend on Kevin Nisbet, he seems to be the one bagging the goals for Aberdeen - keeping him quiet will be key to any potential success.

Most important that the players go out and enjoy it. If we work hard like we have done against the better teams, we definitely have a chance.
The pressure is on Aberdeen they are expected to win.

Not having Callumn Morrison available is worrying me but hopeful the rest of the team can step up to the challenge and deliver a great match and result.

It`s a pretty tall order to beat 2 SPL teams in a row but anything is possible in football I suppose. Can`t see it though. Our best bet is to keep it tight and win on penalties or just go for it, get the lead and then park the bus.
I fear a thumping though with a former Pars star putting a couple passed us (bare in mind that I`m a pretty extreme pessimist).
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

We will win. We’ve got a good squad now so subs enhance us and don’t weaken us any more. And we’ve seen how the team lift their performances in big games too. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a squad with this steel running through it, gives us enough to stay in touch and see out games. Just hope Aston has a decent game, he’s the only one I’ve not seen too much of.

I`m thinking the best way for us to go into this, is to think we can win but expect not to.
As long as they don`t get an early goal we can enjoy the hope.
If we score first it could be a nervy but enjoyable evening.
If we win it would be a great night but if we lose there isn`t the same disappointment as expecting to win. We can just appreciate a good run.
I think the players need to believe, appreciate they have nothing to lose and enjoy expressing themselves.

Are twins not the same age?!!!
Anyway, I wonder if players are made aware of the rules re suspensions in cup competitions. I think his booking in the Kelty match was for giving the AR a mouthful when he didn`t signal a goal for Kane`s shot that came down off the bar. It was totally avoidable.

I don`t think many Pars fans really believed we`d beat Hibs and they`re arguably a better team than the Dons. Football is rarely logical though and although we`ll have our work cut out to repeat the feat of knocking out another top flight team, it`s definitely doable, if the players believe they can.
If you think you can win, you might.
If you think you will lose, you`ve lost.

I think the ref tomorrow is Ryan Lee. He must be one of the up-and-coming young ones. He was recently appointed to the UEFA list - but then so was NL`s favourite, Duncan Nicolson.

Getting excited and nervous now. Early train journey tomorrow morning, arriving 12:30pm.
I just hope we start on the front foot, not letting them settle for a minute and battling for every ball. The whole team needs to be on the boil and don`t let them dictate the flow of the game for long periods.
Keep in their faces, don`t give them time and hassle!
We can win this, definitely.
If we turn up, tune in and take off, we`ll be there or thereabouts.
Keep the faith!
I blame Andy Rhodes for this!
