After his first few games I thought he was too slow. An absolute unit who might be able to hold onto the ball and lay it off to a scorer.
How wrong was I. He can shift.
Him and Kane up front would terrify the SAS.

He`s 20 years old. Built like Rooney.
His groin was bothering him, hope he is fit for the next game.

As I’ve said on another post, he was in a similar position to Morrison in that he was playing okay, he just needed a goal. What a time to score it, but we need it to continue for the rest of the season.

That game was like the one Jakubiak had against Dundee United, just unplayable and everything he did came off for him. Hopefully he can have more of an impact in our remaining league games and you never know how far we can go.

Probably a sliding doors moment as I reckon had Morrison not been suspended, Thomas wouldn`t have started.
Let`s hope he can kick on from here!

Looked anything but slow last night.
At times he was doing the Kylian Mbappe move of toying with defenders by running with them, slowing down a bit, then when the defender gets close, accelerating away.
Incredible speed and physicality for a 20 year old.

Boy was unplayable last night. Terrorised Aberdeen the same way he terrorised Ross County.
Bit of luck with the 1st goal but the 2nd was taken really well. The Kane/Thomas link up for that goal reminded me of a Crawford/Brewster effort

I thought he did well with both goals. The first goal he ran back on side and was alert to the through ball from Robbie. He made his own luck with the rebound in my view. I think now hes on the scoresheet his confidence will be up.i tgought he has been imoroving every game so was just a matter of time.
That driving through the middle is what we have been missing so ot was good to see.I thought Robbie was also a contender for MoM.

time to look at any free agents if Thomas is out long term?

Can anyone come up with a logical explanation as to why NL won`t play Kane more than he does if he is capable of it? Every time he mentions him it`s in highly favourable terms so I can only assume that, based on his history, he feels he has to err on the side of caution. I suppose the crunch will come at the end of the season when he has to decide whether to offer him a new contract.

He’s playing for a contract, so he’ll probably make himself available more than he has previously. He’s a good player, but I’d back us to find a more reliable alternative in the summer.

I thought from Thomas reaction it would be a bad one, signalled to the bench right away.
With the amount of games we have coming up he’ll be a loss. Was just coming onto a game too.
Regards Kane, I still think he’s the best striker at the club and I’m sure he’ll play a part in our biggest games.

I think Chris Kane cant pit in the same levels of training due to reocurring injuries. Perhaps he is able to make it work for a few consecutive games. I dont think anyone doubts his ability and committment but perhaps are managing the situation knowing what he can offer the team.

I remember Doak celebrating with Scotland after beating Denmark. He went under the knife.
I really hope Thomas is fit for Semi. Seen the highlights and he pulls up and then tries to get a touch in the box before going down and signaling bench. Guess we will know extent of injury soon.

Best for him longer term to go back for rehab. Not many striking options but something that the club will need to live with for the remainder of the season. Hopefully Chris Kane can stay fit, but there is also an opportunity for some of tge strikers on the fringes.

Thomas`s injury is similar to Rudden`s first injury and NL seems to think they might have been avoided if both these players had done pre-season training with us as it was designed to mitigate the effect of soft tissue injuries.
We`re going to be stretched in the striking department until the end of the season and Morrison is also being closely monitored for Saturday as he picked up a knock against the Rovers.

Fyfe can be recalled cos he’s on a co-op loan. Young can’t because he’s on a standard one.
Free agents can be signed, if they have been without a club since end of January, very unlikely there will be a suitable candidate available.

We have enough midfield to play a different way if needed. Heck - I think Freddie Turley could do a job up front lol - he has been fantastic. More seriously instead of a three I think we will see a two - if any one of Morrison, Tod and Kane cant play
Cooper is a good addition if needed though.
And mor for fun... I would love to see Abdulia in the semi come on as a striker and feck the falkirk
